The Children's Museum

For Memorial Day we went to the Children's Museum! It was a blast! There is so much to do! It is well worth your money! This was Jonathan all time favorite! He could have spent the entire time here. He would collect the ball and then put them in this tubing that was a vacuum and bring them into another container. He was just fascinated by it. Sarah loved the balls and at one of the areas she enjoyed putting them into different tubes!
There is so many fun things. Down stairs they made it into a little town, where you could construct something, to ply house, to go grocery shopping, to farm, put gas in the car. There was a bird house area where it was for 3 and under, and there was a boat and a "birdhouse". Well, we were there we went to music in motion which was a lot of fun. We made tap shoes with pennies, and Jonathan thought it was great!

On top there was a Life Flight helicopter, Jonathan was in Heaven!

They have many outfits to play dress up with. In the bigger kids section they had a theater area where you could act out "Where the Wild thing Are".

The we went over to Grammy's and Papa's for a BBQ! Sarah loves to play with Kaitlynn.

I just love this picture, she is such a cutie!

What can I say! We love Watermelon!
It was a fun filled day!

Just Sick!!

So last night I watched Jon and Kate and I was just sick about what has happened to them. I was mad, sad, and just plain disappointed!!!
So a few weeks ago there all of the sudden become tons of head lines about Jon then Kate! I just didn't want to believe them! So I decided that I would wait to hear it from them. Well, the entire episode what a disappointment. Kate never talked to Jon only to yell at him or tell him what to do. Jon is so unhappy; I feel that he really just wants to have a "normal" career but Kate doesn't get it or wants to listen. I show just wasn't the same. There was something that I really enjoyed about watching Jon and Kate; there bantering back and forth. But you could plainly see that they loved each other and in turn they looked there children. Now I just don't know?? For me I felt like there where a lot of red flags (here are a few): 1) the kids slipping and calling Kate the babysitters- so how often is Kate really there 2) Jon needed a some time off? 3) Kate having this attitude of I can do it with or without you? 4) Jon asking one of the kids if they missed him; do you think that the kids are not being effect then you are just oblivious!
After watching it just made me sick. I will be completely honest. I have feel in love with this family that is trying there best to raise a great family- husband and wife together. In society, I have seen enough one man shows. I was happy to watch this wonderful family just live life. I feel that even though, I have never met them, they are my friend or even family. This said I just can't believe what they both have become. If the shows are going to be like how they were last night, then I am not sure how much I will watch it! I really want this family to set back and look and see what really is important??? I think they have lost focus, and I also think that there needs to be a lot of forgiveness happening going on. Yes, I did pray for them cause I think they need a lot of help from above; they have these 8 great kids that need both a loving mother and father working together!
I really don't know why I love reality T.V. so much? In one sense it is so real but then its not. We really don't know what is going on off the camera's. I hope and pray that in there biggest trail of there life they can pull through it and learn and grow TOGETHER!
*They are still where there wedding rings!
***Oh and if you were wondering TLC will be getting some of my thoughts!
If anyone is interested here is where you email them your thoughts!

Daddy Potty

So these are the words that Dave heard this morning after changing Jonathan's diaper. This is how it goes- Last night during dinner Jonathan was grimacing. I asked him if he needed to sit on the potty and go the bathroom, he said yes! So we hurried to the potty, he sat there for a long time, but just could do it. He got a sticker anyways! He was happy.
Well, this morning Jonathan said "Daddy Potty" so off to the Potty they went. Dave hurried and took Jonathan's diaper off and he sat and Pooped on the Potty! Way to go Jonathan!! We are such proud parents!!
I guess Jonathan is getting ready to potty training! I really haven't really worried about potty training. I figured Jonathan would be slower, and we would do it when he was ready! We got a little potty a month ago. He sat on it maybe twice and the first time he was so scared!
So working on the pee part is the next step! We are just excited that he did it on his own!! Way to go Jonathan.

Becoming such a little boy!

I have to tell this story because I thought it was so funny and I don't want to forget it! So last night we were at Grammy's and Papa's celebrating Grammy's Birthday! (Jonathan just loves Birthdays, and wanted to see Grammy all day!) Jonathan was sitting next to Papa at the dinner table, and Pap tooted and then Jonathan looks over and says "Poo poo"??? I told him no just a toot, say excuse me. Well, he gave me a look like it wasn't me. So then he precedes to puff his cheeks and his face gets all red, and then he lifts his bum cheek and toots! Then very politely he says excuse me! It made me laugh so hard because he is such a little boy! At least he has manners, right!!

The Falls

Enjoying some good homemade chocolate chip banana bread!
Isn't that face so cute!
Bummed!

Jonathan enjoyed a sample of ice cream at the mall!
Can't you tell?

Sarah is saying hi to the girl taking our picture!
This is normal to have her mouth wide open!

Going to explore!

Coming back down!

After the Fall!

Enjoying our picnic!

The way Sarah gets around!

All better with a band aid!

Dave and I are rarely home together! But when we are, we try to do something fun as a family! Well, yesterday we both were home together. So Dave had to do a few school things first so we decided after naps we would head up to Bridal Veil Falls! Well, when we were about to leave the clouds got dark and it became very windy. So we hurried into the car, but on our way it started to down pour.
We were super bummed, but we decided to go to the mall instead and play on the indoor slide. Well, that fell through too because it was closed for maintenance!! So we just walked around the mall! Jonathan loved the Disney store and Build a Bear Store, then after an hour I looked outside and it was beautiful! So we decided we would go to the Falls!
We got the kids on our backs and we walked up to it! It was a nice walk and Jonathan loved looking at all the creatures and the river.
When we got there Jonathan and I decided to climb the falls- we didn't get to high because I was Leary about climbing and holding his hand (and my balance). Well, Dave and I switched and Dave went up with Jonathan! He was in heaven! They got very high! But then Dave decided to come down too. Well on the way down Dave slipped and with that Jonathan fell and hit his head! Dave FREAKED out, however I was very calm (the nurse came out in me I guess). Jonathan's was bleeding and CRYING. So I finally convinced Dave to give Jonathan to me (Jonathan does better with me when it comes to being hurt or sick). I guess it's the "mommy" thing. He finally calmed down. When we got to the car, I cleaned it and decided that there really wasn't anything that we could do, and they would put stitches in his head! I told Dave it was his decision if he felt that Jonathan needed to be checked out then we could go to the insta-care. Well, we decided to just have our picnic and Jonathan was way hungry. It was way fun. I got a picnic basket for 50 cents at a garage sale this past week and I think we for sure got our use out of it!
When we got home I washed Jonathan's hair and gave him some medicine. He got a mater band aid and was way happy! He wanted to eat more and be held by mommy. Jonathan is fine now his head is sore at times, and Dave my have a broken toe but that too will heal. That was our adventurous night as a family!

Thougths

So these are the biking shorts that I have been wearing for the past 5 years. In my random thoughts, I have thought that I need to be more modest. So with that I have purchased these! Now with our limited budget, I try not p\to purchase clothes. But I think that this was a wise purchase!

I love them! I think that they are so comfortable. Some people my be appalled that I am wearing these. But the only two people I need approval from is my husband and me! (Side note: my husband thinks that I look sexy in anything!) So there you have it- trying to become more modest!

*This is a model (if you were confused). And I am going to be purchasing my first blog book this next week I am so excited. I am waiting for my husband to proof. But that might never happen- its just my journal right?

I finally got this on tape! Although I am way loud, but if you listen hard you can hear Jonathan singing! I think it is way cut!

Getting out the Pool

I love Jonathan in this suit because it COVERS him so much! Since he burns so easily!
Sarah was more interested in having a snack!

She loves my water bottle!
Yesterday, we got the pool out! It was so HOT, it was above 90 degree! Jonathan thought it was great if I was in with him. But, Sarah wouldn't touch it! So Then we decided to swing instead!

What we have been up to....

It seems as though I have jumped off the blog bandwagon. We had to get a new computer, so in that time I was using Dave's laptop and there is something about a desktop that I am use to! Thing have just got up and going so I thought that I would get caught up! This past week when I got home, I helped get the kids dinner and ready for bed. Jonathan just loves when I get home and loves some one on one time. So I usually will read some of the books that Sarah likes and then we will put Sarah down. Then I read longer books to Jonathan. He enjoys sitting on my lap and being read too. Jonathan is growing up so much. He is starting to say different phrases, and he will ask you them over and over again. Such as "Whatya doin'?", "Where did ___ go?". Those are the two phrases that he loves to ask ALL the time, but he does have more. A new thing that Jonathan has learned to do is climb out of his crib!!! He doesn't seem to do it that often for me, more to Dave, but we have modified his timeout from "crib time" to "bed room time". I feel that this has worked out very well because he has learned that if he clams down fast then and becomes a happy boy then he can come out, and he will open the door and come out. I am not sure if I like the idea of him being out to roam where ever he wants, this past week I came home from working out and Jonathan met me at the door (at 7 am) or last night Jonathan was down before Dave came home and he got of of his crib. He repeated over and over again "Daddy Home, Daddy Home"! Another thing that Dave and I are working with Jonathan is making good choices and choosing to be happy. We are trying to look for the good things that Jonathan is doing and reward him with a little sticker. He loves the sticker and he understand that if he obeys Mommy he gets a sticker. He now will say obey randomly knowing that he gets a sticker if he does. This also helps me to not focus on the negative behaviors but on the positive. It has really helped me a lot this past week or so.
I decided that I was going to go to my natural color (This is a little darker, but it is fading). I like the change, which is hard to believe. I have been busy with different projects and the never ending task of keeping my house clean. I also signed up for a local tri, so I am committed. Today I did my first workout with transitioning from bike to run! Man, was that hard. I have a long ways to go and just a month to do it!

Jonathan and I, these shorts I got at a garage sale this past week. I think that Jonathan is so cute; he is becoming a little boy more and more each day!

Sarah just loves to suck on a tooth brush! I figure its good for her teeth, and then it occupies her so she doesn't touch her hair!

Playing with some knew toys that I got this weekend!
Isn't this so cute!!!
Jonathan loves to go on wagon rides and this past week he has learned that he can pull Sarah all by herself!! He is so proud of himself, and doesn't want me to help. If he gets in a dip, and is kind of stuck. He repeats "Pull, Pull, Pull" So we have been going on rides very frequently! He loves to pull it to Papa's!
Going to Papa's

Mothers Day!

This is how this past week Started out! Jonathan made his foot prints for me at school!! He was so proud of himself! He showed me, but I said is that for me he said "No Jonathan's". When we got into the car Jonathan wouldn't let go of it! He just held on tight and worked his way up into the car seat!

Yesterday, Dave let me sleep in and got up with the kids and brought breakfast in bed! It was so cute, and the pancakes where very fluffy! Dave surprised me with a Spa treatment at Remedies, and I am so excited. I have been trying to decided if I want an hour massage with a pedi or 1/2 hour massage, facial, and pedi. Any thought would be great. I have gotten some already!
Anything can bet last year, working on Mothers day. I was great to be home with my family and go to church together! We went to listen to my Dad speak in his ward, which he did great (however Jonathan had a hard time by the end, so Dave missed a bit of his talk and he was sad about that).
After church we rested and then I made a fruit pizza, it was SOOO good! We went over to my parents for dinner and had kabobs! It was great food, nothing beats food from the grill! It was very enjoyable. Then we played a new game called golf. It was fun to have a change in games, and James and Martha stopped by which was even better!

Before I was a Mom
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby. I didn't worry weather or not my plants were poisonous. I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom
I had never been puked on.
Poop on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night!
Before I was a Mom
I never held down a screaming child so the Doctor could do tests.
Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin!
I never sat up late at night watching a baby sleep!
Before I was a Mom
I never held a sleeping baby cause I
Didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million piece
when I could stop the hurt.
I never knew something so small could
effect my life so much!
I never knew that I could love someone so much!
I never knew that I would love being a
MOM!

Before I was a Mom
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside of my body.
I didn't know how special it would feel to feed a baby!
I didn't know that bond between a mother
and her child.
I didn't know something so small could make me feel so important and happy!
Before I was a Mom
I never got up in the middle of the night to check on a child to make sure they were okay!
I had never known the warmth,
the joy,
the love,
the heartache,
the wonderment,
or the satisfaction of being a MOM.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom!
Author unknown
My friend put this on her blog, and I felt that there were so many feeling that I have felt from being a mother! I love being a mom, it is so challenging and tiring but rewarding joyful at the same time! I am so glad that I took the leap of faith to become a mother and that Heavenly Father has bestowed these little ones into my home to love and nurture! I truly feel that it is one of the biggest and best blessings to being a Mother!

* I forgot to post this on the previous post so I put it here! I think it is cute of Sarah in the grass!

Our Sarah

I just love this picture of Sarah! She is just growing and learning so much! Sarah isn't walking yet, but I can totally tell that she is getting stronger on her legs. But with not walking she has to get places, so she has became a climber like her brother, at this age. It she is great at climbing up slides! In Jonathan's room and also in the backyard, she does have to watch out for her brother cause he like to come down on top of her! Sarah is FINALLY saying Ma ma, not that I think it is to me. But at least she is starting on a new syllable which I am happy for! So she is onto three- Ma ma, Da da, Ba ba. She is signing tons now, which I LOVE. IT seems that she is hungrier these days, which might be because I am totally off breast feeding her (it of course has its pros and cons). So hopefully the pounds start coming! Sarah loves to be outside however she isn't not a fan of the grass. So she will crawl with her legs up and arms up so nothing but her hands and feet touch the grass. It makes me laugh! Sarah continues to be very friendly and wanting to wave at anybody she sees. Yesterday, at church she was all into the chorister and was trying to the lead also and then when it was done she would just clap. It was so adorable to watch. I love my Sarah, she is growing up so much!

Celebration

It was a GREAT evening together! We went to Carrabbas, we loved it! The food was wonderful, we were stuffed! Our waitress surprised us with a dessert and that just pushed us over the top! IT was fun to talk and think about the past year and what is to come! It was very enjoyable and relaxing. Then we went over to Mall to walk off a little of what we had and got Dave a new cologne. Then we headed to the nickle arcade and that was a lot of fun! I think one of the highlights of the night was watching some of our wedding video. IT was fun to listen to us talk about how we met and how Dave proposed! It is wonderful to hear those things that we felt so long ago! It think that was one of the best investments that we did for our wedding! I love you sweety, and look forward to many more wonderful years to come!

Family Outing

Jonathan was WAY excited to go!

This past week Dave and I were both home, so we decided to do something fun! After Dave mowed the lawn. We headed to a local museum. It was a lot of fun (I forgot the camera which I was totally bummed about ). Jonathan was in heaven with the huge elephant that they had and the HUGE bear. There was hardly anyone there, which was really nice! Then after we went to feed ducks, although they must get feed wonderfully cause unless it was thrown to them right in front of there face then they didn't eat it! Jonathan did great at throwing, although most of his bread landed not far from his feet!) Then we went over to the playground! IT was a fun morning! The kids slept great for naps!
