My thoughts

This afternoon during "my time" I decided that I would just enjoy my presents that I got from Christmas. I decided I could clean later. I taught myself how to use my label maker. I absolutely love it! I have made tons of labels in the laundry room and on random things. I need to organize more to be able to put more labels on things. The other thing I have been doing is enjoying the book and CD my parents gave us by Elder Erying. It is wonderful already. While reading it I had this impression that I should write it down, and since this has become somewhat my journal. I will write it down. Yesterday I had to work. Because of the schedule and the holidays I have had to work every Sunday this month. Which I can't say that I am happy about. But, an awesome thing about living in Utah is that we are able to take the sacrament, which for me is a big blessing. Well, yesterday prior to taking the sacrament I was listening to this doctor chew this nurse out over the phone, being very arrogant as he did. It was the same doctor that chewed me out over the phone the week before about not texting him the right way. I felt this doctor isn't considerate and forgets that us nurses aren't perfect. I wanted him to think about what he says to us nurses. So I was going to give him a piece of my mind. But, he was doing a dictation and they called us back to take the sacrament. I thought to myself, "after I will talk to him." We received the sacrament and received a thought from one of the ladies, with her thought the spirit was strong. After receiving the sacrament and hearing the thought; I commitment to myself to be a little better. When I left the room and then went to talk to the doctor I decided against it. It wasn't going to change the doctor and it would just make me upset and drive the spirit away. So I opted against it. I know that the power of the spirit is real and through the spirit it can bring me closer to Heavenly Father, if I let it and obey his whisperings!

The Day After

Enjoying breakfast with his new blue bear he got yesterday from Grammy aand Papa!

Helping himself!
Sarah had a few bits!

Enjoying the shake with Papa!

I went shopping with some of my family today. We had lots of fun and found some great deals. I found some great Birthday gifts for myself. It was fun to find some cloths for me. Papa helped entertain the kids while we shopped. He got a chocolate shake and the kids were in heaven. (I have started my post about Christmas, but it won't be posted tonight- till tomorrow).

Christmas

We had a lot of fun opening presents! Jonathan always wanted to be right their opening the present no matter if it was his or not. Jonathan looked so cute in his hat. Jonathan his bear once he saw that Sarah got a bear from Santa. Jonathan wasn't sure about his horse but enjoyed pushing his er it made noises.
Later we went over to Grammy's and Papa's and Jonathan wanted to be outside with his cousins. Although Jonathan had a hard time in the snow, well walking in it rather. It was cute watching him though. He didn't stay out long, cause he got cold. So we put his clothes on multiple times!

Hanging out at Grammy's and Papa's. The kids love being with there cousins. Dave was trying to figure his new game. Jonathan wanted to play with everyone else's toys.
We have been doing wishes for years now, fun tradition. Jonathan started eating his candy cane that he was supposed to put on the tree. He looked so cute just eating his candy cane!!
Brother and Sister loving each other. I loved watching them! They just laughed together. We had a wonderful Christmas!

Preparing for Santa

We had a fun Christmas Eve. I was all prepared to go to work at noon and then I was put on call. Awesome!!!! One the best presents. So I went and did errands and then went over my parents and helped out till dinner time. One of our traditions is have Mexican, it is wonderful. We had fun singing, playing chimes, acting out the Nativity and listening to Grammy tell stories. Then we got in our red PJ's! The kids were so cute! We put a cookie out for Santa sang another song and then off to bed, so Santa could come. I am excited to watch Jonathan and Sarah tomorrow mainly Jonathan. Just finishing up some dishes and then off to bed cause I am beat (while after my husband wraps my presents). This is one of the most wonderful times of year I must say!

Almost there

Jonathan trying on his red PJ's' and watching Polar express. Which is the only movie that he can watch all the way through! He loves Santa, the train and all the singing!
I wanted to add this so I would remember how cute Jonathan was this December. Jonathan usually does a little dance with his arms, but he was too into the computer. He finally started to sing at the end, which of course I think is so cute.
Christmas is almost here and I got one of my presents early!! Which is the best one, I get to be with my family all day on Christmas (no work- I am so excited). I finished wrapping all the presents tonight. I just have to make pull apart in the morning (one of Dave's favorite things about Christmas), finish the final touches on Jonathan's PJ'S and pick up Sarah's Christmas pictures! And the house is already for Santa to come. Merry Christmas!

What else is going on...

In the last few posts I haven't put anything about Sarah cause she was either sleeping or we just didn't have any of her. As you can see from this picture Sarah is getting so big. This past week or so Sarah has learned how to wave it is so adorable! At first I wasn't she that she as doing it, but the more we say hi she is connecting that together. I also think that she is learning how to sign more. I have started early with Sarah and signing just a few words that I think are important when they are small, like more, eat, please, thank you, drink. She signs the word "more" like Jonathan. Sarah continues to have da da down, but just jabbers. What a cutie we have.
I was playing with Sarah and Jonathan. Throwing them up and twirling them.
Sarah wasn't sure she was just holding on her dear life.
Sarah just woke up way happy, just clapping!
Sarah and Jonathan playing around. Jonathan and Sarah are starting to play with the same things, which sometimes cause stress cause Jonathan is still learning how to share! But, a new development is that Jonathan loves Lego's now. I got them a long time ago waiting for him to want to play with them. Now he plays with them all the time. Which is so much fun, he makes lots of towers (and there is Lego's all over the house- yes I found on in the Christmas tree). Jonathan also loves Polar express, this is the only movie he will kind of sit through. He loves the train and the songs and of course SANTA!

Well, we have less then a week left tell Christmas and I am feeling less stress since we are done with the Christmas party. I had to get my house all together, which I have this amazing friend that came over on Thursday and we exchanged gifts and she helped me clean. She is the best, I love you Beth. I also had to make sure all the gifts were ready for Dave's side. And a side note- I went to the grocery store early on Friday before Dave had to go to work so I did have to take the kids and then I forgot a key ingredient to the dinner that night. So yes I had to go back with the kids. Oh well such as life! I am done making all my gifts I just have to wrap like crazy. I hope in the next few days I can get that done. I am also working on PJ's for Sarah that are red for Christmas eve night (one of our traditions). Now to the finishing touches of menu planning and wrapping and getting PJ's ready for Santa to come. It should be fun. Jonathan is going to open all the presents with our help (well esp Sarah's) on Christmas. I am still going to post Jonathan dancing to my two front teeth! Merry Christmas, if I don't post till then!

Family Christmas Party!

Grandma is helping Jonathan open a present!
Jonathan got this cool car, he thought is was pretty great!
Kiersten got this tutu and she just loved it, I never could get her face cause she kept twirling.
The kids were dancing and watching this Christmas light show! It was way cute.
We had Dave's family Christmas party and also celebrated Rosemary's birthday! We enjoyed dinner, and cake. We also opened presents since we won't be together on Christmas, which was fun to see what everyone got! We were glad that everyone still was able to make it cause the snow storm was terrible. It was fun together and enjoy each others company and build stronger relationship. We still didn't get a group picture, but till next year!

Santa Cookies

The kids having there turn and Grammy helping!
Jonathan and Lacey

Half way done!
Jonathan and his masterpiece
One of our family traditions is Santa cookie making, and leaving one for Santa to have! They are a LOT of work, but they are so GOOD! So we get together with who ever wants to make them and it makes it a lot of fun!

Snow Day!

Cute boy!
Jonathan was getting cold- can't you tell by what he is licking!
Enjoying the first real snow!

Helping Daddy shovel, or I guess supervising!

The snow storms have finally come! It looks so pretty outside all white. I love how beautiful it look, however I don't like driving in it! So on Tuesday I had to work so Dave was at home with the kids. Dave put Sarah down for a nap and shoveled the walk and drive way with Jonathan on Thursday. I love all these pictures of Jonathan. Some are from Tuesday and some from Thursdays storm. Jonathan and Dave made some of a snowman but we never took any pictures of that!

Grandpa's 80th

Sarah already for the party!
Isn't her bow cute, I made the red part of it!
Listening to Grandpa!
Dave was able to come at the very end of the Party- Jonathan loved playing with his Dad in the bounce house.
Sarah enjoying her dinner!

Grandpa, Shirlene, and Sarah
Happy Birthday Grandpa, 80 years of love sure does keep you healthy! We celebrated by gathering friends and family at the church. Then after we all told something we admired about Grandpa, Grandpa told a story, did a white elephant exchange and eat GREAT food with immediate family (although we missed Dave cause he was at work). Plus, the main attraction for the kids was the bounce house- Jonathan had a BLAST. He has so many bumps on his face from getting hit. He would get out of the bounce house crying and then within minutes he was back in playing again.
I have a wonderful Grandpa, he is a hard worker (which is one thing that keeps him healthy- I think). He is so loving, he can talk to anyone I know and is friends with all walks of life. My Grandpa has a strong testimony of the Savior and is always willing to service in what ever he is called to do. Grandpa always says he loves you when ever he sees you, and never what you to forget it. Grandpa is a wonderful story teller, as kids we loved the punch the cow story . But we heard a new one tonight. Grandpa is a jack of all trades and is so knowledgeable. He is always willing to help teach anyone that wants to learn knowledge that he knows. I love you Grandpa, you are one of the Best men that I know, and I hope that my husband can live up to the man that you are 50 years from now!

Sick girl!

It is no fun having sick kids. However, it is nice to be able to cuddle and hold them close. Sarah is growing up so much, she doesn't like to cuddle to like to be about. So it is a nice time to take advantage of this closeness! Sarah is feverish and just won't let me put her down, so the sling comes in handy right now so I can get a little done!

Lights

One of the houses we saw!

Posing!
Well, we planned on going up to the lights up north. But, our plans had to change when the kids just weren't feeling well. It just wouldn't have been smart to go in the cold. Even though I really didn't want to change the plans we did. We still went to dinner, at Chills. It was fun, Jonathan was really hungry so he had a container of ranch and just dipped either fries or broccoli whatever he pulled from my plate. Sarah just sat on Dave's lap not feeling great and not wanting to eat anything. Then we went to see lights around the city. It was warm in the car, Sarah just slept and Jonathan pointed to all the "dites". We even stopped at a huge house and took pictures. We enjoyed ourselves although I was looking forward to something else- till next year lights and lion house pantry!
