Making Our Gingerbread House

On Monday we got together with Kristi's family and decorated out gingerbread house. We got it a few weeks ago, and Jonathan has been dying to open it up and decorate it! He was SO excited when Monday night finally came!
Jonathan helped decorate it the entire time, he loved it! He also like sneaking a few piece of candy too!

Sarah enjoyed playing and being with her cousins!
Our finished house! I think it turned out very well!

Christmas Carolling

This past Sunday after coming back from Grammy and Papa's house we decided to Carol as a family. It was a lot of fun. Dave hasn't play his violin in about a year, so it was so nice to have him play. I love music in out home. Sarah and I sang- Sarah pretended the scriptures where her songbook! Jonathan played the harmonica, and Dave played the violin!

At the end Dave showed the kids how to hold the bow! Jonathan did actually really very well. I asked the kids what they wanted to play when they got a little older and Jonathan said a violin and Sarah said the piano!

I tried to post a video, but it was too large- so I posted it on facebook. It made the night fun!

Sarah

Isn't she such a cutie!!! On Sunday Sarah was all dressed up for church in her Christmas outfit!
I thought she looked so cute, and don't you love her boots? Like I said she wears them everywhere!

Tree Trimming Party

My parents had there annual Tree Trimming Party. This is the all time favorite Christmas decoration! It has a sensor and when you pass it, it sings and dances. Sarah was dancing with it- she loved it!
Jonathan and Sarah helped decorate the tree. Jonathan at first thought that he would sit on the couch and hand them to Papa to put them on the tree. Unlike all the other kids would walk over to the tree and put them on themselves.
Then he thought it would be fun to climb the ladder and hand them to Papa!
Cousins!
Funny Cousins!
Then they had lunch, and then made ornaments. Which actually was a chore in itself with all the kids. But Jonathan and Sarah loved them and couldn't wait to put them on the tree!

Decorating the tree

We decorated for Christmas this past week, and Jonathan and Sarah were so excited! Dave put up the tree and I decorated through the house. Sarah kept saying "Ready, Ready". When the tree finally went up! It was so much fun, since this year Sarah is really into it!

Putting the first ornaments on the tree!

Jonathan and Sarah were dying to eat the gingerbread cookie ornaments. So when we were done eating I let them and they were in Heaven!

Thanksgiving

We had a very enjoyable Thanksgiving! In the morning I prepped the rolls and then took the kids over to Papa and Grammy's. Dave played flag football in the freezing cold, it was around 17ish degrees! I enjoyed cooking with my family and the kids enjoyed playing together! There is so much to be grateful for, but I am very thankful to be close to family this year!
The kids made healthy turkeys, and Jonathan & Sarah loved them!

The kids playing outside, although it was SO COLD!
Dave bundled Sarah up so that she would stay warm a little longer!

The First Little Snow

We were told that we were going to have a huge blizzard, but ended up with really nothing. But I was okay with that. Sarah got her snow boots in the mail and wanted to try them on and go outside! She now wears them everywhere!!!!
Aren't they cute!

Shirlene's Projects Continue

This is the next project that I have been working on! I just love this quilt and how it turned out! It is so soft and warm!

Girls Night!

This past Saturday night we got together with all the girls that live close on my Mom's side. It was so fun to get caught up on what is going on with everyone! We had great food, and did a fun craft! I am so glad that we are going to be doing this more often!

Random video

Last week sometime. Jonathan and Sarah started running back and forth from their room, and I thought it was a great idea to get them exhausted. Jonathan did tons of laps, not Sarah. But I just loved watching Sarah, it would make me laugh cause of her form. She looked like she was going to fall many times!

Bunkbeds

We have been in the process of moving the kids together before the baby comes! It was has been very hard, but they have finally started to get the hang of sleeping with someone else in their room. They know to stay in their beds, but there is lots of laughing/giggling and some crying here and there, most nights they don't fall asleep fast. But one is more exhausted then the other and gives up and falls asleep, so that forces the other to fall sleep out of boredom! I am so glad that we started this process now, not later!

Halloween

Getting ready for Trick or Treating! Sarah was so good when I curled her hair! She was attempting to swat flies in this picture, which was really funny!
Our cute Minnie and Mickey!

Sarah was so cute!
She felt and looked so pretty, since I did her hair and make-up. She LOVED it!
I like this picture cause Jonathan is so excited it was hard for him to not do an over the top smile! He just couldn't wait to get trick or treating!
I love this one though (we never got a family picture!!)
Over at Grammy's and Papa's
Going over to Great Grandma's, they were super excited!
I think that this picture is so cute with G Grandma and GG!
This is the best picture with Kaitlyn and Hayley!
There really wasn't a good picture with all the cousins!
Jonathan said he wasn't cold, although it was very cold and rainy! He ran from house to house and just loved it! One of the houses had this fire going, which was nice! Daddy took Jonathan ahead since he was way fast. I stayed with Leslie and Dan cause Sarah just took her time. However, she walked the entire time (with a little help from Daddy at the end). I was done after about a street and was going to take Sarah home cause she seemed very cold. But when I tried to take her home she got very upset. She trick or treated the entire time with her cousins! She was such a trooper!
Can't you tell that she was exhausted! When the kids got back to Grammy's they had hot cocoa, to try to warm them up!

Day before Halloween!

We headed up to BYU and they were having a little event that the kids could trick or treat at the bookstore. Jonathan was told that Cosmo was going to be there, so he was so excited!
On the way over there, which was 10 minute drive. Sarah was exhausted and she fell asleep!
Sarah finally wanted to wear her "ears".

They had story time so Jonathan listened for awhile!
On the way to our last station to get candy, this was the best Cosmo we could find! The kids had a fun time!
