Life around the our house!

We had a family movie night.  We read Hugo and watched the movie.  Jonathan loved it!
Well, we have a very lame cardinal that likes to bang into our window very frequently in the mornings!  So Dave did some research and an owl is suppose to scare it away!  So Jonathan and Dave made this!
 Giving loves to Henry.
 Eating and being happy!
Sarah keeping warm, by finding Daddy's sweatshirt and put it on!
 Enjoying Daddy after work!
Sarah being a good Mommy to her babies!
 Sarah giving Piggyback rides!
Playing Settlers with some new friends, and I won by chance.  It was a lot of fun!
Gordon loves to hold Henry for a minute!
We love to read, we just finished reading 500 book challenge for Sarah's school!
Sarah finally got her haircut here, and I just love it short!  IT is easy to take care of and it is cute on her!
 Watching Henry grow!
Sarah loves to wear a hat to bed and I guess, she couldn't find a hat so a skirt had to do!
This is the LAME bird, and the owl didn't work!
Sarah being such a good helper!
I just love this of Henry!
We find a great deal at Costco, (which there are a lot to be had) we hardly buy the deals but I thought this would be good to play in the snow, build with, shovel with!

 Isn't this cute!
 My helper in the kitchen!
 Helping Daddy with the toilet!

Great Grandma gave Jonathan this great puzzle for his Birthday before we left, it is great and Sarah loves it too!

Jonathan

Jonathan is growing in so many ways!  Jonathan LOVES to learn.  He is very good at reading bob books and Dick and Jane books.  He loves to sound things out around the house!  Jonathan loves to go to the library and get new books to read.  Two weeks ago Daddy and Jonathan went to Lego time at the library, it was great for Jonathan to see all the things he can bluid not with just the direction of what it is bought to make.  We are about finished with The Lion The witch and The wardrobe, which we all loved (we will finish it tonight).  Jonthan has been making a lapbook to help him understand the book better.  He is very proud of it, and wants to keep it to show his children one day! And is excited for Family movie night to watch the movie! Jonathan really enjoys Math, and loves to watch the different lessons DVD, and he calls his teacher Mr. Math!  Jonathan is my little helper, I am so glad that he is my oldest!  He helps with different responsiblities around the house, and with helping get Sarah's bag ready in the morning.  He loves to help me in the kitchen, which I enjoy.  He talkes to me about things he is learn, thinking about- that he doesnt usually talk about.  Yesterday, I started teaching Jonathan how to crack eggs and he just loved it!  He does wish we had chickens like Luke and Lacey, though ;)  Jonathan is a great missionary; he wants everyone to know and learn about Christ.  Jonathan was so brave and asked his friend to church.  Jonathan loves to learn about Christ; and is learning so much!  Jonathan doesn't like the snow (although Sarah loves it), but cant wait to ride his bike!

Henry is 6 months already?

Our little Henry brings us so much joy!  Yes, I guess he is little he is 15.3 lbs and he is in the 16 percentile.  I guess I make little guys!  I am fine with that cause he is easy to hold (compared to our Gordon).  He loves his thumb, and his very content guy!  He is very good at sleeping which is SOOO nice!  He has bright red hair, that is coming in more and more!  Henry has tried cereal which isn't a fan.  But that doesn't surprise me, cause none of our children have!  Henry hangs out on his tummy or his back!  Gordon loves to hold Henry for a few seconds and then is done! But he wants his turn just like everyone else! Henry loves to laugh, and is soo ticklish!  He found his voice about a month ago and would just squeal for so long.  But then he has a hard time sleeping in the day cause he was squealing so much, that has dyed down.  But he is so content!

Sarah was trying to entertain Henry when I was doing something and when I came back up stairs this is what I found.  Henry loved seeing himself in the mirror!

Tuckered out after a long day!
                                                   Our happy boy!

Brothers! Gordon wanted me to take a picture of him and Henry!
If you look closely you can see Henry's tooth on the bottom!  Last Friday we went to the doctors and that is when I discovered his tooth finally had cut through!  He has been drooling for months now!
Isnt he a handsome guy!  We think so!

My thoughts

This is how the first day of spring is here in Minnesota! Yes, at the beginning of the week I was having a hard time.  But, I know that SPRING will come (maybe not when I am use to, but it) I am giving it two more weeks till I just will be going running outside.  I hope it isn't 5 degrees, like it was today when I woke!
Other then the weather, we are adjusting well (well doing are best). We really like it here, the people are very friendly and kind.  I finally got a job as a home health nurse working one night a week; although HH is not big out here which makes the pay less then I hoped for.  But it is better then nothing.  I also have been babysitting here and there, which Jonathan loves because the boy is his age and they get along great!
We are trying to reach out and make new friends here, we enjoy Sunday dinner a few times a month with different family and enjoy different company (but I sure miss talking and eating with my parents, siblings and grandparents).  We had a movie night with two families in our ward, and had a blast with them!  We also had a date night with another couple from our ward, and the kids played with there kids.  It fun, to get to know people that our not just our age!
I am adjusting to being a mother of four!  At times it is crazy; but I love having them around me!  Henry is such a good little guy!  He loves to be held, but enjoys laying on his back and looking at his hands too!  Heavenly Father, really blessed me with an easy baby and knew that I would be here in Minnesota without extended family to help.  I know that he is straightening me and my children.
I LOVE when Dave has a day off, we try to get out.  Sometimes it is something fun, and other times it is just running errands as a family! I am very good at hibernating!  Dave is working hard trying to build the membership at Costco and teaching his team how to do that.  Dave is learning so much here, and it has been a great thing moving out here!
As I have said I really enjoy my children close, and love teaching Jonathan at home for school.  I can be over the top sometime, and I had my wise sister give me a good talking to about relaxing and making sure that Jonathan is having fun and that he is doing very well with where he is at with reading and math.  It was what I needed to hear, and it has made a daily routine so much easier for me.  Sarah is doing preschool at a school in town, and she is bussed there and I am soooo glad I don't have to take her.  She has made big improvements since she has started here in December.  I have a big decision to make of either to keep her back in preschool another year or send her to kindergarten with help.  I still don't know what the best thing for her.  I know she would just like to be home with me.  But I feel at this time for our family, it would be the best thing to have her in public school.  We will see what I decide next year!
I am teaching the 11-12 year old in church, and it is a learning experience.  I have never taught this age group!  I overall enjoy it, but some Sundays are hard and other good!
