Jonathan's Marathon!

This past Saturday Jonathan completed his first Marathon!  A little over a month ago I over heard some ladies talking about this FREE race that the kids run/walk 25 mile prior to the race and then finish the 1.2 and they receive a medal.  I pretty excited about it, however getting the 25 mile accomplished before the race day was challenging but he did it! When race day came he was so excited, and so was I!  I was a little emotional (but check it in check) since I love running and maybe Jonathan might share that same love! Jonathan has a hard time saying marathon, so he calls it his amazon! ;)
We are in a parking garage you cant see it but behind us is the finish line!

This is about the start of the race!
Sarah was bummed that she couldn't run it!  But next year she will be in kindergarten and will be able to!
Jonathan was standing by the kindergarten sign and wouldn't budge from that stop, he was really excited!  It was really cold, but it was suppose to rain!  So I was SO THANKFUL that it wasn't!

We met up with our friends, Jonathan and Schafer ran together!
Sarah with her Best Friend, Jasper got out for a minute so Sarah was very happy to take his stop! ;)  Aren't they so cute together!
This is how they ran the first quarter of the the race!
Look at our all star!  They both did great!
Jonathan was so proud, and so was I!  I was sad that I didn't get to the finish in time!

They did it!

Jonathan, Schafer, and Saffi

After we went and saw Dad at the expo and the kids got some candy.  We played a little in the bounce toys!

Then we headed home before the rain got us!  It was a blast, I am so glad we did it!

Gordon

Having fun being outside, he decided to get lots of bowls and line them up! Our funny little guy!

Wishing he could be outside, if only it wasn't raining! Sigh

Gordon is a ball of energy and VERY much a two year old!  He wants to be big and independent like Jonathan and Sarah!  He loves to be a helper.  He wants to be outside every minute of the day!  It has been raining so MUCH right now.  That it has been hard!  Gordon has changed his sleeping patterns with nap time and when he lets himself fall asleep!  However, tonight when Dave was reading him his books before bed he just couldn't keep his eyes open and fell asleep on Dave!!  His words are increasing all the time!  He loves to shower or take a bath.  Gordon just LOVES dogs, he also yells for them when he sees them.  The funny thing is the way he says Daddy and Doggy they sound very close!  He loves to explore and do little adventures with Sarah!

Our sweet Henry!

I just love this face, he is such a joy!  We just love our Henry!  He has finally decided to sit up, and he rather enjoys it! ;)  Henry is 8 1/2 months old.  He is a good little eater and learning to pick up cheerios.  This week Henry had his sixth tooth come in, and I think that is why he has a runny nose!  Henry loves to smile and laugh.  And he loves when his brothers and sister make him laugh.

Happy Birthday Lizz!

This weekend is my dear friends Birthday!  We celebrated having a hot dog roast!  We went to a local camping area, it was beautiful green!

The kids went on a walk with the Dads!  They had a blast!
 I just love this picture!

 Happy Birthday Lizz!
Gordon went up to Jasper and sat down and put his arm around him!  It was so sweet!

Mothers Day!

I had a wonderful Mothers Day!  On Wednesday before Mothers Day, Sarah's school had a presentation for the Mothers.  Sarah sang and we did a few activities together and had a snack.  It was fun to be together!  Dave made this cute little menu up for me the night before so that I choose what I wanted!  I just loved it!

It was a cold windy day but I wanted to take a picture outside, so we did!

Dave gave me these beautiful flowers!
We had a wonderful dessert!  Jonathan loved the angel food cake, he said he wants it for his birthday just with frosting!

I really enjoyed the afternoon with my cute family, I rested, we went on a walk, had a great dinner, and then dessert!  I am so thankful for my precious gifts that have been given to me to mother!  I am thankful for my own mother that has taught me so much and continues to guide me as a mother!

Our Anniversary

Dave planned our of day out to celebrate!  After 8 years I finally gave up some of the control and let him do whatever he wanted!  He arranged for the kids to stay at our wonderful friends house for the day so that we would go to the cities!  And we took our little side kick, and he was great!
Our first stop REI to go rock climbing!

It was my first time, I loved the shoes they were great and made it so easy to grip!

 Dave did amazing!

Then we went to Pei Wee and it was great, I love Chinese food!
Then we went to an art museum which was fun and entertaining! This was my favorite, it was made of all dots!
This is Dave's, we just laughed!
We came back and headed to Costco for a quick cheap treat!  It was a great day, and it was nice to talk and enjoy each others company!  Thanks for a wonderful 8 years!
