Jonathan had a little surgery yesterday. He had a clogged tear duct on the left eye that he has had since he was born. We thought that it would resolve on its own but it just seemed to have gotten worse and has made his cheek red. Well, he was going to have a tube placed to open up the tear duct. The night before he had a few melt downs thinking about having another surgery, but he received a blessing. In the morning Dave woke him up early and they went to the surgery center that wasn't far. Jonathan did great and he went with the anesthesiologist without medicine or crying. The procedure was very fast, they found out that Jonathan's top part of the tear duct was undeveloped so they couldn't place a tube. But the bottom part had a membrane on it which they took off. The doctor is hoping that taking the membrane off will solve the problem. But if it doesn't we might have to do some reconstructive surgery. I am praying that it works, he said that in about two weeks we will know. If the tearing has resolved. After coming out of surgery Dave held Jonathan, he told him that is what he would do. He was a little confused at where he was at, but didn't cry or anything. Within five minutes he was drinking juice, overall he did great. After Dave took him to McDonald's for Breakfast, when he got home he got licorice and later he got chocolate milk. (Cause those are things he did with the previous surgery). Jonathan has had a little bloody nose but that's about it. I asked Jonathan at dinner what was his favorite part of the day, and he said his surgery. I thought that was funny, I think he meant getting all his treats!

I'm glad he did so well with his surgery, and hope everything works out in two weeks, too! Give him our love!
