Sisters Weekend

Eating out good ol' shakes
Making our signs
Tickets to the play
At the play

Sisters weekend- was at the end of August (I just got the pictures so I thought that I would put them on my blog). It was all the sisters, sisters-in-laws, and Mom (although Liz couldn't make- we missed her hopefully next year!) We went up to Bear Lake on Thursday and stayed till Saturday. This was my first time away from Jonathan, which was nice. But I missed both my boys a lot.

We made signs for our homes. We eat, swam, and just hung out (we helped mom relax and enjoy herself). We discussed a book that we read during the year, we that we could be better mothers and I brought home ideas to share with Dave. We went to a Mel-a-drama, this year it was a lot of fun. On our way out we went and had famous Raspberry shakes! It was a lot of fun to be with just sisters and talk and enjoy each other company. We are glad that Marcie made it all the way up here from Texas!

BOY or GIRL?

Well, for those that do not know. We are expecting! We are very excited! Although I can say I am not sure how I will do with two- but I am up for the challenge. Jonathan is doing very well- he is very independent and so happy these days. We aren't sure of the exact date that we are due. But, we are told February (I love my doctor, if anyone is looking for one and delivers at Utah Valley- let me know). At the end of the month we have our ultrasound, we hope for good news this time. But I feel- that this one want give us stress us Jonathan's pregnancy did. I am already showing and that is a good sign also! At my four month appointment, the MD said that it is a boy (from the heart beat), but last appointment he said it was a girl. Both times he said that we can't tell from that and just laughed!

Eating food!

I love this picture he is eating chill and cheese- he sure enjoyed it!
Here he had an oreo shake-he was so worn out that he feel asleep. We were at the Family reunion all day!
Jonathan loves to eat what we are eating! He sure loves food!

Learning

Jonathan loves to move but he doesn't know the art of crawling around things or people he just goes on top- that is what he is doing here. He went right over Dave's leg!

Jonathan is learning to kneel and play. We are hoping that his leg muscle get stronger so that he can crawl on his knees. Some people in my family call his crawl now- the army crawl or the spiderman crawl. He loves this Piano- Thanks to Kristi and Jason for the great find- it sure is worth 3 bucks!

Being with Mommy

Jonathan loves to be with me. So it is so nice that he can get round, cause he just follows me when I am cleaning and putting things away he is trying me be with me. He makes these cute little sounds, little he is working hard to get to me and then I turn or go some where else. This is a picture of Jonathan in the kitchen, he is at my feet while I am cooking dinner, just playing with himself and content being next to Mommy!

Laundry Basket

Jonathan is plying in the laundry basket. Jonathan is always interested in what I am doing. This one day I was folding laundry, Jonathan started to play with the basket, and then once I was done in the basket.

Dave's 26th Birthday!

Happy Birthday Sweetie!
I love this picture Jonathan is wearing a new outfit to church doesn't he look adorable!
This year I attempted to make an ice cream cake for Dave- it was very rich! Dave had a good birthday! I think that one of his favorite presents was the game ticket to ride. When we were in California we learned to play this game at the Youngberg's and Dave loved it! So I got it for him- we played it 4 times on his birthday! We love you!

Jonathan is 9 months

It has been a long time since I have updated my blog- it has just seem to get away from me! Jonathan is growing and learning tons right now! In the above picture Jonathan is drinking from a cup- but it is formula. i have had problems with Jonathan and eating he just isn't a big eater. I have this nurse that comes in monthly and she gave me this idea to put formula instead of water when he is eating his finger foods. And he loves it- he loves to feel like he is big!
Jonathan loves to just be in his diaper- and since it is hot I just let him- since last week! Jonathan has started to learn to scoot, and so he started getting a carpet burn on his tummy, so I thought maybe its not such a great idea. But this was the kicker! Last week, I was in the kitchen and Jonathan was moving and playin' and I would periodically look t him. While this one time I looked over and he had the diaper in his hand and was waving it! I said Jonathan David and then i just started to laugh! He is a smart boy!
Well, over a week a go. Jonathan learned how to push with his legs and reach for a toy (and books esp he loves). Then it just kept evolving through the week and he was moving with his forearms and legs. At first he would stay in the family room, but on Sunday he learned that there is more to the house then the family room and started to adventure out in the dinning area! It is so fun to watch him play and enjoy himself! I am sure that he will be crawling in no time!

Happy 4th of July

This was Jonathan's first 4th! He loved the fireworks! We went to the city parade with my family. (Side note Dad wore shorts for the first time in a very long time!) We rode our bikes so that we didn't have to fight the crowds. We put Jonathan in the trailer which he just loves! Then later that day we celebrated Grandmas birthday! And then we had a BBQ at my parents house. Amy and Ryan we up and so we were able to met Drew for the first time. He is all over the place. Abby, Jonathan, and Drew had fun together- they are all born within three months of each other! Then we went over to Kristi's and was going to have a lot of firework fun- but we had a run in with the law so there went our fireworks fun! We had root beer floats! We went home, but on our street there is this family that does fireworks from Wyoming- and theirs are awesome. We walked over there and Jonathan loved them! (Pictures will come!)

Rolling!!!

It was an exciting day for Dave and I! Well, I got home from work and Dave said that they had some exciting news to tell me! Jonathan finally knows how to roll from his tummy to his back to his tummy. Jonathan for a long time could roll from his tummy to his back, but from his back to his tummy was a different story! I would work with him so much- he would lay on his side, and sometimes I would try to help him with his leg- but he would just got back to his back. ON vacation he was closer then he has ever been. And then today was the day! So when I got home- Jonathan showed me his moves. It was so much fun! It took him a while to figure it out, but he did it! His nap and when I just checked on him- he is on complete different sides of the crib! He loves to move now- and I know it will just get better!

Happy Fathers Day!

Dave's first Fathers Day! As you can tell he is a proud Father! Jonathan got Daddy a tie! Dave is very good with Jonathan- and Jonathan is such a Daddy's boy! When Dave has been gone to school or work and comes in the door Jonathan gets huge smile on his face (Makes Dave very happy!) We love you!

B-Ball

What a cute Boy!

Father like son! Jonathan is playing with the basketball and his Dave is loving it, so he started to take some pictures! Dave plays once a week, he can't wait till Jonathan is big enough to play with him (he hopes he like to play)!

Piano Recital

About a week 1/2 ago I had my first piano recital. I was very nervous- but I guess I did okay. I have been playing for about a 1 1/2 years. I have gotten a lot better, I can play a few church songs and other random song. But my main problem is that when I have people listen to me I just mess up! But I am sure that I will get better as time goes.
Well, Megan and I had our last piano lesson this past Friday! She is a wonderful teacher, she was very patient with me. When I started to cry she knew that she needed to not push so hard. Megan is great- I will miss her as a teacher and having her around. After the baby is born she is moving to Ohio! Good luck and Thanks Megan!

Learning to Play

Jonathan is learning to play by himself, it is so nice. He loves his exersauser and learning that while he is on his tummy and can try to reach for things. On Thursday I had to work do Dave was home with Jonathan, and he was able to mop the floor cause Jonathan just played. It was a nice surprise for me! He loves the bath and his rubber ducky. After I clean him, then he just plays and sucks on the ducky. He is learning to sit up in the bath but it is slippery! He is so cute in the bath. I sometime give him 1-2 baths a day cause he loves it and depending on how he smells.

Adorable 7 Month Pictures

Like I said aren't these just adorable!
He loves to talk, and as you can see he is learning to sit on his own (its all about balance)

Enjoying being outside, although he didn't like being on the grass, so I had to be creative!

Can you see his red hair and his beautiful blue eyes?

As you can see I just like so many of them I couldn't just pick 1 or 2!

Well, last month I went and got his 6 month pictures and I was so disappointed. So this month a decided to use Mom and Dads awesome camera, and see how it goes. Dad let me use it, and before leaving he said you can't use more then 250 pictures. I thought no problem, but when i was taking them you can see there is so much clarity. It was so fun!

Surgery Update

Jonathan had his stint removed this week. I wasn't sure how it was going to go. But all he did was a little squeal! I am glad it is gone cause he would leak all the time cause of the nature of the stint, and sometimes he would scream when we put on his diapers! So life is great once again!

First time Wearing a Hat

Look at that cute face!

Jonathan wore this cute outfit for the first time this week, my good friend Lindsey gave it to us! It is so cute on him, and the planes match his room!
Jonathan wasn't sure about wearing a hat, but he played with it a little but was unable to take it off! (With his fair skin I hope he learns to leave it alone!) Thanks again Lindsey!

Diapering System

We do cloth diapers, and now that Jonathan is eating real food. It isn't that fun changing (plus cleaning ) his diaper. So we got this handy little sprayer from cottonbabies.com. Let me tell you it is wonderful and powerful. Dave installed it yesterday and I love it already!

Jonathan's First Word

This morning Dave and I were getting ready, we put Jonathan in the excersaucer and he was fine. Then after awhile he started to complain, and then he said "MA". Dave said did you here that, I said yeah. And we both got excited, and then he kept saying it throughout the day it is so much fun!
We had wondered whose name he would say first since, he is such a Daddy's Boy- but we can tell were the his true love lies!

Sleeping

Jonathan enjoys sleeping on his tummy and when he goes to bed we put him on his tummy. Well, Jonathan knows how he roll from his tummy to his back. But while he is in his crib he has not rolled. He just cries and waits for someone to get him up. Well, this week he has learned to kick his blanket off and then roll over. But the last few mornings instead of crying he just waits for me to get him and smiles at his Mama when I come in. I think it is really cute! The little achievements in his life make me happy! One step at a time (I need to remember that, when I want him to be sitting on his own and rolling from his back to his tummy cause I know it will make him so much happier to be more mobile!)

Hold on!

Normal Sleeping Position

Jonathan loves to hold onto things! When I am feeding him he will hold my shirt, or watch. Well, this week I was checking on him after I put him down and I found him holding this towel. It was so cute and funny. I took a picture!

Happy Anniversary

Well, I was getting ready for the Day Dave put this out for me! It was very sweet- he got me the quicken program, a cook book, and flowers. I got him a bike helmet and sleeping bag (that he has been dieing to get)!

On May 5th it was our 2nd anniversary! We had brunch together. We stayed around here, since Jonathan was not feeling so hot! We had late lunch together at McGraths it was a lot of fun! Then we went to the mall and went shopping! That night we watched movie and had ice cream! It was fun being together! I love you!

Happy Mother's Day

Its has been a great Day! This is a first mothers day with Jonathan! I remember last year when I was bearing Jonathan I was so overwhelmed at thinking of being a mother! But this year Jonathan is here with me and I love it, I love being a mother and seeing his smile and cute little laugh when we tickle him or throw him up in the air.
Dave made me breakfast- which is one of his specialities and gave me some new shade shirts which was nice! Today is one of the few days that we get to be together, so it has been very enjoyable! I love you sweety!
Church was nice! The men in our ward made us cinnamon rolls and we had milk/juice. One of the men in the ward taught relief society (class with just the women in the church). Then the bishop spoke and he gave us three challenges! I really enjoy the bishop in our ward he is very down to earth and always tries to help us!
Today was a nice sunny day, I took Jonathan out in the backyard and put in the swing- and he loved it he smiled and laughed, I'm thinking he is going to be an outdoors little boy!
