A little of what has been happening....

So it seems that blogging these days just doesn't seem to happen. With everything that I have to do in a day, besides keeping the house spic and span. I am exhausted and ready to go to bed after the kids do!
This is at the beginning of the month when they were major sleeping issues. This picture is why Jonathan only slept in our bed once, and then to the floor. I can say that the sleeping situation is so much better. We love The Magic Tree Series, and no naps that seem to be lifesavers! Jonathan is halfway to getting his build a bear and I can read him a few chapters and sing two song and then kiss him good night and NO crying, it is Heavenly!
This is one of our FHE lessons by Dave on obedience! He is great at giving lessons!

One morning Dave found Jonathan in Sarah's room. He knows that he can't come into our room or he will have to start over at getting his build a bear. So he went into Sarah's room! (by the time that Dave got the camera they woke up)
We went to the fair with my family. Growing up, I grew up going to the fair and entering in projects through 4-H. However the Orange County fair is completely different. But it was nice to get the fair feel. It was so small after an hour and half we were done/hot/ and ready to go!
After we went to Macey's and got ice cream! It was great!
Being with his Daddy!
I finally decided that Sarah could have her potty training present (I actually forgot about it). Sarah was in Heaven as you can tell!

Jonathan loves to play in our small cul-de-sac. But he loves to ride over to Maddie's house and knock on the door and talk to her. Well, today Maddie and the siblings came out and played with them. Jonathan and Sarah were in Heaven!

My thoughts

Well, I thought that I would write down some of my thoughts. The big thing that that is going on is that Jonathan is not sleeping or having a hard time. We started this back when we came home from California. It has been very hard two weeks. We cut out naps, which is so hard for me cause this is my quiet time, although I knew it was coming to an end. But, even cutting out naps didn't help. It would be one thing if he just wasn't sleeping, but there is outrageous crying and wanting the other parent, wanting to sleep in our bed. So for the first few days after Dave was done with patience, it was my turn (being around 1 am). I was so tried and having to work the next day. I would either put him into bed with me or lay him on the ground. Well, after doing my four days of work close together, and having over a week off. I decided that we needed to figure something out. He was saying he was scared of monsters, so I had this thought that I should read a book series to him. We have started reading the Magic Tree House Series. He really enjoys it, I will read to him tell he is either alseep or almost there. But, he will wake up and after 1 or 2 hours. Then the shift work begins with Dave and I. We have rearranged his bedroom at Jonathan's request, given him little treats in the morning if he stays in his bed. We have had to shut his door, which doesn't seem that bad. But, Jonathan is VERY scared of the dark and this freaks him out. He screams and kicks- he did this for about 45 minutes, but he was so worked up that he was about to throw up. He finally calmed down and Dave opened the door. We have only had to do that once. The last two nights have been the most successful, so we are hoping that he is getting out of this phase. So we are doing 21 days in his room and when he has done this he gets big reward either Chucky Cheeses or making his own build a bear. He hasn't choose yet! However, the one thing that has come from this is more one on one time with me, which is nice. He usually wants me to read to him at night and we read a little during quiet time. I have enjoyed this part of it.
Another subject that has been on my mind recently is Motherhood. I am so thankful that Heavenly Father has blessed me with Jonathan and Sarah, and another one on the way. I am thankful at this time in my life that Heavenly Father blessed me with Jonathan and Sarah so close together. I remember when I found out that I was pregnant with Sarah. I didn't know how I would do it. But, Heavenly Father has given me little blessings and tender mercies to help me when they both were so small, and now they are so close and love to play with each other (most of the time), and Sarah just loves Jonathan she will come up to him randomly and just put her head on his lap and he will just stroke her hair. It is so precious! With that said I do believe that each one of us has a plan of our own of rearing children and when to have them. I do feel that this is a scared responsibility between my husband, me and Heavenly Father. I know that this little one is supposed to come to our home at this time. I do feel that there is another one to come after her. I might surprise or shock people about the timing of my children, but that is between Dave, me and Heavenly Father. You might ask me how many I am going to have or when the next one will come. I do not know, but I do know that we will have as many as the Lord wants us to have!

Part two of our Family Summer Vacation

On Saturday we went up to Anaheim and checked into our hotel! IT was so nice. I was so happy to be in a bed and out of the dirt! That night we got together with some people that I grew up with, it was so fun to see them! We met at a park so the kids could play on the equipment! The next morning we went to church at the ward that I grew up in!
On Monday morning we went to DISNEYLAND!!
This was waiting to get on the tram to get into the park! It definitely has changed from the last time I was there! The kids thought the tram was a train and just loved it!
One of the first rides that we went on was Splash mountain. Jonathan was too short to go on it. But my Dad was great, and stayed behind with them and took them on the pooh ride while he was waiting.
We got wet!! (Mom's hands kinda covered Dave's face)
I couldn't decide if I liked the up close or the far away!

Jonathan LOVED the buzz light year ride! We loved it too it was a lot of fun!

Riding the cars was one of Jonathan's top things he loved at Disneyland! He loved driving!

This was Sarah's favorite ride, Small world. I enjoyed it too, it was nice and refreshing!

Toontown! Jonathan LOVED it here!!!
He loved riding Mickey's car (that's what he told me)
Going into Mickey's house!
And seeing Mickey's Birthday Cake!
And MOST of all seeing MICKEY! This was the highlight of his day!
He is just beaming!

Then we saw Minnie, Sarah didn't want her to touch her but she wanted to look at her! Sarah loves Minnie, she loves wearing her Minnie outfit!

Having fun in Minnie's house!

Beat! Dave and my Dad held Sarah as she took a little nap!

On the Jungle Cruise!
During the afternoon to early evening I was getting exhausted and very hot. We ate dinner hoping that would help me feel better, I soon broke down and didn't feel that I could keep going. But I wanted to for Jonathan and Sarah. Well, Dave went to Indiana Jones and I took the kids on the train around the park with my parents and some of Kristi's kids. We got on and Jonathan and Sarah loved being on the train. Well, I started not feeling well. Then after two stops. I started throwing up. It was no fun. They then took me to the first aid and I rested and had some Tylenol. After about an hour, I think, I started feeling better. Earlier I was going to take Sarah and go home with my parents, but after this Dave decided that we should all go home. I felt bad that Dave and Jonathan couldn't stay longer, but we we're all exhausted! On the way home Sarah needed to go potty and we got a little treat for everyone. Within minutes after that, Sarah and Jonathan were out!

The next morning we took showers and had breakfast at the hotel. This is what Jonathan did right after the shower!
Studying the Disneyland map!
It was a fun trip! We are thankful that we were able to do Give a Day Get a Day! I was glad that Jonathan could experience Disneyland and loved it!

Part one of our Family Summer Vacation

With great anticipation we left for California at the end of July! Jonathan was so excited!

We stopped in St George on Sunday, so we didn't have to drive the entire way to San Diego and then the next morning we got up and went down to San Elijo State Beach! This is Dave setting up our brand new tent (with my assistance), it was a two room one. It was so nice!

Well we set up camp the kids entertained themselves by watching the people walk down the rode, and told them that they were in a parade!

Then next day we went and did a few errands waiting for the hazy to burn off. We got some suckers and Sarah fell asleep eating hers!

That afternoon we went down to the beach, and this was Jonathan's first time (while technically 2nd- but first time remembering it) going to the beach! Enjoying the ocean feel!

Being like there Dad! Getting the boogie board out on the water!

First attempt!

Enjoyment!

Having a blast!

Not so sure of getting cold though!

Playing in the water!

Later getting cleaned up and then getting down in the sand once again!

Joys of camping with a little one!

Sarah enjoyed going into Grammy and Papa's tent (esp since the door broke and they could close it).

Playin' his drum!

Having there own parade!

Finding Uncle Jason's fins and enjoying walking around in them!

On Thursday it was Dave's Birthday so we went into San Diego and went to the Maritime museum! It was a lot of fun andvery interesting! Right up Dave's alley!

In the big steam boat!

This was the US submarine! Jonathan loved getting on the beds cause they we just his size! I really can't believe people really live on those!

Steering the submarine!

This was on the Russian Submarine, it was a lot longer, and they have all these crawl spaces!

Cute Sarah!

Our Little Family!

One of the last boat we went on would travel around the world, and this was second class sleeping area!

There was a small little boat just for kids!

That night we went to a seafood restaurant and enjoyed great food! And Dave even got sang too!

One our way home we, this is what I saw when I turned around and looked at Jonathan (it was 8 o'clock at night). He sure makes me laugh!

Aunt Kristi did Sarah hair, and she loved it! She thought that she looked so pretty!

Enjoying the boogie board once again!

Jonathan's beach buddy! Lacey and Jonathan were more into the sand then the water! If I asked Jonathan the best part about the vacation (which included Disneyland) he said playing with Luke and Lacey!

Goin' to give it a try on her own!

Did pretty good, I would have to say!

Enjoying their smores!

Packin' Up! On our way up to Anaheim!
