Snowshoeing!

On Saturday we went to Millcreek Canyon and went snowshoeing! Dave and I had Sarah and Jonathan on our backs!
Getting Ready!

It was very beautiful up on the mountain side!

Dave and Sarah! Sarah did great the first half but was done after that!

We found a great path! However, I had a few falls- but Dave and Ben were there to help me up! I think that I need a bit more practice on the snowshoes!
As I had said before Sarah was done by the end! Dave ended up just holding her in his arms to try and warm her up, it helped a little bit. At the end Dave had to put Sarah down for a few minutes to take off his snowshoes!

Overall it was a fun experience! Jonathan let me know that he was happy and that he didn't cry! What a cute boy! We will have to figure out something different with Sarah for next time!

Christmas Afternoon!

In the afternoon we headed over to my parents to open presents and to enjoy dinner together!

The Grand kids loved being around whomever was opening presents!
They had a rough night!
Dad excited abut his new ladder that some of the kids got him!
It was a picture Christmas at my parents house, Jonathan got this picture of Nephi and Jonathan!
Sarah got a picture of a little girl that looked like her looked up at Jesus!

I got this picture of the Salt Lake temple, where Dave and I were sealed for time and all eternity, with fall leaves! I love it. A few years ago I saw it with my Mom and told her how much that I loved it. She I guess remembered, I was so surprised! It is now hanging in our entry and I get to look at very often! Thanks so much!
One of the gifts that Ben and Jodie received!
We had a wonderful Christmas, and I just realized that I did get a download of the group picture! Hopefully I can get it before I leave so I can post it!

Christmas Morning

On Christmas morning we woke up around 7:30! As you can tell Jonathan is very excited! Mommy and Sarah are still waking up!

Checking out the presents that Santa brought!
They both got cool toothbrush that flash!
Jonathan loved his car garage!
Dave got a new hat from Santa!
Grandma got a new cookbook!
I got new red slippers that I love!
Jonathan got a huge bat from Grandma and Grandpa!
Jonathan loved his CG apron, once Sarah got her tea pot and treats he kept saying he was cooking!

Enjoying he tea pot!

He wore it almost all day!

Enjoying her purses!

Sarah got a new tutu!

Sarah really thought that something would come out!

It was a crack up to watch!
Sarah just enjoying having Grandpa around!

Jonathan enjoying his new toys in his room!
We had a wonderful Christmas filled with family close by, it was wonderful!

Getting ready for Santa

After family home evening we got ready for Santa! We got in our red pjs, took some pictures, I read Jonathan another Christmas story, talked to Jonathan about what he could give Jesus this year, and then I helped Jonathan write a letter to Santa, and put out cookies for Santa!

Christmas Eve Family Home Evening

After dinner we had our family home evening. We started out with the nativity! Dad was the narrator (as usual).
Joesph was our baby Jesus

Lydia was Mary, she was so excited!
Jonathan was Joesph
Aren't they cute!

Lacey was the angel, Luke was the shepherd, Kaitlyn was a wiseman!
Sarah was a wiseman also, but she had a hard time keeping her costume on!

Then we sang a few carols around the piano. It was really nice! I played a few songs, but I am not able to play and have people sing with me- but maybe next year!
Jonathan enjoyed with little costume.

Lydia enjoyed singing, esp All I want is a Hippopotamus

Then Grammy read a Christmas book to the kids!

Dave was putting away the violin but Sarah was very interested in it!
Daddy letting her touch it!

Few pictures I wanted to add!
