Jonathan's Scrapbook!

For Jonathan's scrapbook I did it on the computer. I started doing his the normal way. And then around December my aunt showed me how to use our Memory mixer program and it wasn't too hard. So I started scrapbooking on the computer- it was great. I could do it while Jonathan was down for a nap, and there was no mess. If I wasn't down with a page just save it and come back to it. So each month, the week of the 22nd I would scrapbook pics and what he was learning. Well, he had his year birthday. So I finished the book and got it printed by the Memory mixer people. It was cheap- I figure when you put all the cost of the books, paper, the pictures, the embellishments. It probably is about the same, it is just a lump sum. Anyways, I love that I got his first year down, and my goal is to keep it up I am not sure if I will print a year at a time or two years. I love memory mixer, I think it is great! So if anyone wants a mess free way to scrapbook this is it!

Thanksgiving

Decorating the cookies!
My cute boys!
All the cute cookies! Leslie is going to be starting a blog soon- so stay tune for the address! :)
Dad craving the turkey!
You can't really tell in this picture, but Jonathan is wearing disposables and he is in 6 month pants and his pants where falling off. I thought that it was so funny!
Thanksgiving in Provo! Dave and Jonathan enjoyed the morning together, while I was at work! But I was able to get off at 1, so that I didn't miss out on any of the fun (I hate not being with my family and having to work!). I got there in time for making turkey cookies. All the kids, enjoyed making their own. Jonathan had fun eating the candy corn. He was good at putting it in his mouth no the cookie- next year he will do better. We enjoyed lunch, and did our wishes while we eat. We enjoyed great food- the rolls and turkey was great this year. Then we planned our attack for the next day!! The boys played Risk- Dave won again but he knows for Christmas everyone is going to get him! The grand kids put puzzles together! We enjoyed our time as a family! We missed Jeff and Marcie and the boys this year! (hope you had fun in Texas). Dave and I our so thankful for all our blessings! (I figured it was better late then never to blog Thanksgiving- I worked a lot during the Holiday so here it is!)

Quick Trip!

Grandma Harris, Jonathan, and Kirsten! I love Jonathan's little smile here!
Cousins!

We were able to go down to St. George the weekend prior to Thanksgiving and visit with Dave's Mom and Sister. It was fun to see Jonathan and Kirsten interact with each other. We had a nice ham dinner, played ticket to ride and talked. We enjoyed ourselves, although it was short!

Our Smart Little Boy!

This is gum ball machine that Jonathan loves to play with. But, right now Jonathan is into putting things into containers and then taking them out. He was playing this weekend and when I looked over he had but random things into the machine. He is very smart boy!
This is cute little Jonathan playing Hide and seek with me. He like to play chase or Hide and seek with me. He gives me this look and I know what he wants to do!

Jonathan is learning new things all the time! Things that I don't even realize that he knows how to do. Like today I was working on a project and he was exploring, and he found the diaper bag. Earlier today I cut up an orange and put it in a zip lock bag and put it in the diaper bag. While, I could tell that Jonathan had the bag of oranges, but when I looked down he was eating them, he got it out of the zip lock to my surprise. This last week was his first time eating a orange and he thinks they are great!

Our Favorite Game!

Our favorite game right now is Ticket to Ride. We first started to play the game in California on vacation at the Youngberg's, and Dave has loved it since. I got it for him for his Birthday. And we seem to play it frequently on Sundays. It is a lot of fun. You get tickets for certain destinations, and you have to build your train to get there, you can have multiple destinations. IT is a lot of fun there is more to it, but that is the basics. We played with my parents on Sunday and I won both times!!! Everyone should look into it. I think that Uncle Neil would have fun with this game!

Accepted!

Dave has finally decided what he wants to be when he grows! A High School teacher (which I think is perfect for him). Well, he applied for the program at the beginning of October, and he found out this past Friday. He is in the program, so we celebrated and went to Wingers! Way to go Sweety!

Family Pictures

For Jonathan's year pictures, we decided to bit the big one and go to Kiddie Kandids. They did a great job (we usually go to another place, and they seem to kind of struggle ). The lady that took our pictures- what great with Jonathan he was laughing and smiling the entire time. When we saw a certain pose that we didn't like, she was more then willing to let us try again. We got the picture the same day, which is a total plus! They have great props and backgrounds. The down fall is that they are so expensive- but I guess that is what it cost to get them right back and to have a great photographer. We will definitely go back, but it might be awhile!

Making my Boy Fat?

So we went into the Doctors today for Jonathan's one year check up. So we talked to him about our concerns. And then he talked to us about his concern- his weight! He is a year- and he is 16 lbs he is still in the 2%. I am wondering if anyone has some good ideas of how to "power pack" his food. If there are any food that are fattening that your kids love? Any ideas would be helpful!!! Thanks

Happy Halloween

Jonathan!
Our little Family
Cousins!

They are 2 months apart- Jonathan and Abby were playing together tonight it was way cute (I need to post pics later)
Our cute bear!
This is Jonathan's first sucker- he loved it. But when he was done he handed it over to Dad- it was way cute! Jonathan and Great Grandma!

I consider this Jonathan's first Halloween (since last one he was in the NICU). I was so fun to get Jonathan all dressed up, it is a lot better with a little one to dress up (a lot of you may know that I am not all into dressing up although Dave is convinced that we are going to dress up like Kristi's family does). He was so adorable as a bear. We went trick or treating with the cousins and then we came back to Gram's and Papas and had scones- it was fun to be with the cousins and she how cute they are!
