Counting down to Halloween

Jonathan is so excited for Halloween. In Jonathan's mind Pumpkins=Halloween! He was so excited when he saw pumpkins in the store a few weeks ago. There are days when all Jonathan will talk about is something related to Halloween like being a monkey or trick or treating! So I decided to help Jonathan make a Halloween count down!
Jonathan loved it! Don't you just love his smile!

I love these pictures that Emily took of Sarah in the cherry orchard! Sarah is 19 months old! Isn't she cute! If you click on the link you can see some of the ones that Emily took. With her cowboy boots, she just loves them! I wasn't planning on having them on but once she had them on they were so cute! September 22, 2009

Pirates Island

Tonight we went to Pirates Island for Luke and Lacey Birthday party! It was a lot of fun!
They had cute hats to wear!
A pirates ship to play on!
We had a few tokens, and Jonathan and Sarah went on this carousel.
Sarah wasn't sure of it!
BUT, Jonathan loved it!
Once again Sarah hated this and Jonathan loved it! Jonathan is doing the choo choo sound, he loves trains! Cute Picture, Sweety!
The decor was great! Jonathan wanted to play on some of it cause he thought that it looked real!
Jonathan LOVES Birthdays! Luke and Lacey were going to open presents and Jonathan was right there to be a part of it! Kristi made Luke and Lacey's shirts, they are adorable. She is selling them on Esty; let me know if you want one she can customize it to what ever you want!
Jonathan was so excited he was right in front of Luke and Lacey while opening up presents, which made it hard for Jason to tape!
Cute kids and cake!
Jonathan loves to sing Happy Birthday!
It was a fun night, thanks for inviting us!

Going on!

I don't know why, but September just seems like such a busy time for our family! It might be that I have been trying to pick up another shift each week trying to get some more money while Dave isn't working. But with just trying to work, keep my house clean, go to spin class in the morning, working my piano song I am learning, being a mother, working on Jonathan's costume, and putting the schedule together for the holidays- man I am exhausting. BUT I think too shall pass!
Well, my Sarah bear has been watching Jonathan go potty. So she has wanted to sit on it too, so I have let her. Then on Wednesday before naps Jonathan went and then Sarah wanted to sit so I finally took her diaper off and she actually went poppy! I was shocked, I can't saw she is ready, but she did!
Sarah is 19 months now and she went to the Drs office and she weights 22 pounds which means she is in the 19 percentile. But while we were there my Dr said that he wanted Sarah to be seeing the speech therapist more then once a week. He wanted her to be seen 2xs a month to once a week; he believes in early intervention! So today we saw our speech therapist and she did another short eval and said that she was about 4 months behind. But she felt that by 3 yrs old she will caught up, but she agreed that she should come and see her more. So she is coming every other week starting in October. I think it will be a good thing for us (meaning Mommy and Sarah- so i can know the ways too help her)!
This past week we has Pap over for dinner while Grammy was out of town. And these are my little helpers waiting for Papa and Daddy to get home! Well I was fixing dinner Sarah wanted to help me, which meant that Jonathan wanted to help too. I was wearing an apron and Sarah wanted one on, which meant Jonathan wanted one on too. (I think I know what I will be making for Christmas presents) Sarah and Jonathan did great at trying to set the table! They are great little helpers, it was so nice to have them help!
This past week it has being rainy, Jonathan thinks that if it is raining then he needs to wear a beany. It is rather cute to watch him play out side with it. This week he also discovered rainbows. He said colors Mama. I said oh that's a rainbow, and he repeated it. I explained what a rain is and what it means. Jonathan loved, and let me know when it was gone! Jonathan discovers new things all the time!
Sarah found these glasses this week, I think this is a funny picture!
We got our carpets cleaned tonight, they look amazing! Thanks Brian!
As I said before life is crazy, but I wanted to write down a few thoughts that I have! It has been one year this month since I have been making homemade bread! We love it! At first Dave had a hard time with wheat cause he grew up on white. So at first I would use half white and half wheat and then I gradually went to just wheat! That is the way we like it now!
I have been working on "April Child" for piano lessons and it the simplified version from Rigoletto. I have been wanting to learn these song forever. Well, I have been working on this song for MONTHS now! I decided that I would make a goal to memorize it for my December recital! This of course terrifies me. It is 3 1/2 pages long and has 3 key changes and then last key change is E major, and if I can recall I think there is 4 sharps and man is it throwing me for a loop. I am tying to learn this song and spend quality time with the piano when I practice. I feel that my skills our coming SLOWLY. I just passed off I am like a star from the children songbook. I have been deciding that my long term goal besides learning Jon Schmidt is to be able to play for the primary as the pianist. Yes, I understand that will be probably another 10 years but that is something that I will work for. So with that said, I am terrified playing in front of people especially after memorizing it. About two years ago I memorize a piece for my rectal and when I was waiting to play it, my mind blanked and I forgot it (yes it some how came back to my memory). But I think this is a good step some how!

What can I say?

This morning we were getting ready for church, and I didn't know where Sarah was. I couldn't hear her; which is a sign of trouble. But no, she was watching (as much as she really watches TV) a video we had on. She looked liked this and enjoyed having the TV control! She makes me laugh!

Caught Up

I have been needing to do a little caught up! So here is!
Dave is officially started teaching as a student teacher, which is keeping him very busy. It is a good thing that he is not working at this time because he is also doing teaching plans till late in the night. Dave aspired to be wonderful teacher and wants to reach the teenagers that I think he should just forget about cause they don't want to learn. But he is ready for the challenge! One night when Dave got home the kids where playing with puzzles; I needed to get a few things done so Dave entertained them. He got the different modes of transportation and showed them visually what they do on the internet. They both loved esp Joanthan! What a great Daddy!
Our little Sarah bear! I have been meaning to take a picture of her sleeping cause she is so cute all bundled up. As a baby Sarah liked to be all bundled up and her head in the blanket; well it hasn't changed! (If you look closely you can she her hair sticking out!) Sarah is starting to verbably say MOre and Please- really Mo and Plss. But she is progressing, which is good.
Playing on the swings together
Jonathan cannot play with out Sarah these days! She has to be outside with him or he won't play! JOnathan is such a good big brother; this morning Sarah wasn't feeling good and we were going to Papa's and Sarah did NOT want to be in her car seat. She had a fit, Jonathan gave her something to play with and said her Sarah. He also tried to comfort(by hugging) her when she was crying and I could hold her (she of course wanted nothing of it). Jonathan is really getting into make believe playing which is really fun. He loves to bluid with blocks and make thing, he loves to clean and cook. He also loves to play with puzules; esp the transportion one cause he loves to make noises and play with the different vechiles. Jonathan has a hard time going to bed at nights; and is the energizer bunny. He can stay up for hours entertaining himself!
Sarah has her own personality she loves to give me things to put on her. As you can see she found Jonathan's Car shirt and wanted to wear (JOnathan wasn't sure about it). Sarah can't wait to sit at the big table! The other day she wanted to sit in Jonathan chair and then she started to read this ad and drink her milk, I thought it was rather cute. Sarah loves to find her pink cowboy boats and have me put them on! Sarah is learning not to give tantrums.
Jonathan's making a car and pushing it around and making noises.

Monday for Labor day (I didn't take any pictures) we got up and cleaned the garage so that we could put both cars in the garage cause it will be getting cold soon enough! Then we went swimming, it wasn't the hotest day so you had to stay under the water to stay warm. There was a waterslide at the end that Daddy and Jonathan went on, and Jonathan thought it was great! I went down with Joanthan the second time. On the way down, and was screaming a fun scream; well Joanthan didn't like he kept tell me "Momma no Scream". Again and again that made me laugh! Then we headed to my parents for a BBQ. It was a nice holiday to be together as a family!
I have been busy with the normal things of life such as mortherhood, keeping an orderly home, working. But I have also been working on Jonathan's Halloween custome, which he is way excited about and especially the candy and being a Monkey since he loves Curious George. Once I am done with that I am going to start cutting out a bag that Kristi and I are working on! It is so cute, so I am trying to hurry up and finish the monkey so I can work on my cute bag!

Sick Kids

Well, Jonathan and Sarah aren't feeling well. It started Yesterday, when I picked Jonathan and Sarah up from Papa's after work. The first thing that Jonathan says to me is "I split it" pointing to his mother. I tried to interpret what he was saying and then Dad said that he threw up. I guess it was very traumatizing cause every prayer we say Jonathan makes sure that he doesn't "split it". Although he is feeling better. Our sweet Sarah just wants to be held, and has a fever and just isn't her sweet self.
