Update

Here is me and my belly! There were a few people that wanted to see how big I am. I can say that I am big this time. Last time I felt big, but I wasn't this time I am!
I had a Christmas recital. This is my teacher and I. I can say that I did better then last recital. Although there was a few mess ups, but not that noticeable. All the participants had to sit next to each other, and when I sat down. I had forgot my music that I memorized, I get so nervous. But, each time will get better (at least I hope!)
This probably isn't the best picture- but this is Jonathan's first time eating a Santa cookie! We made a lot on Wednesday, and ever since then he has been pointing at them to eat. I finally gave in yesterday for breakfast. Yep for breakfast (only a hat), Jonathan has a hard time eating so I basically let him eat what ever he wants! He loved it he basically ate the frosting and sugar!
Isn't Jonathan so handsome! I think so, this is a 12 month old outfit I thought that I would try it on him, everything fits (the pants are a little big- thank Heavens for cloth diapers or he would be in 6-9 month clothes) Thanks Aunt Linda for the adorable outfit, he wore it to Church for the first time on Sunday!

Tagged

Well I have been tagged by Marcie and Kristi- I am not so much into them but I figure that if I am tagged by two people then I have to do it!

A. Each player has to list 6 facts/habits about themselves
B. At the end of the post, the player tags 3 people and posts their names

1. I love to feel fit! I can't wait till I can go back to running and biking!

2.I love to surprise my husband. I love making one of this favorite meals or goodies. Or doing something around the house that he has been able to get to!

3. I love to have projects- I enjoy feeling that I am accomplishing something for myself besides being a mother, wife, or working.

4. I love to take naps. I am having a hard time weaning Jonathan from his two naps. Cause one nap I take with him and the other nap I do something that I need/want to do!

5. I love Christmas! Although I miss California, I love having snow on the ground, it make it feel like Christmas!

6. I love to blog/ read blogs. I love to keep up with whats going on with friends and families and not have to call them all the time. I do check my list of blogs daily or even more sometimes. I guess you could say I am addicted. I am trying to have my sister do a blog- everyone else has one. I know she will do it one day!

Well, I tag Julia, Lindsey, and Jessica

Starting off the Holidays Right!

Jonathan watching the snow!
Our backyard!
Our cute family with our gingerbread house
Dave and Jonathan enjoying there pretzel- however Jonathan just had a pretzel minus the chocolate but he is enjoying it with his Dad!
Don't those look good!
Dippin'
This is us waiting for Santa to come!

This weekend was a fun one! It started Friday night making candy at Kristi's. We made peanut butter balls, turtles and dipped pretzels into Carmel. It was good- I enjoyed the turtles the best. Then the next day, woke up to a winter wonderland. This was Jonathan's first time remembering it. He was all about looking outside and watching it snow. We then went and saw Santa at my Mom's work party. Papa was standing in line for us. Jonathan did pretty good this year. He just looked at him for awhile and then looked for me and put his hands out- saying he was done (Dave Dropped us off but wasn't able to stay to see Santa- off to work! After the party we went to Mom's and finished the pretzels- don't they look good! Carmel, then chocolate and sprinkles. That night we celebrated Jason graduating with his Bachelors by going to Chili's. Then to top it all off on Sunday night we decorated our Gingerbread house. We love doing this it is lots of fun!

Jonathan's Scrapbook!

For Jonathan's scrapbook I did it on the computer. I started doing his the normal way. And then around December my aunt showed me how to use our Memory mixer program and it wasn't too hard. So I started scrapbooking on the computer- it was great. I could do it while Jonathan was down for a nap, and there was no mess. If I wasn't down with a page just save it and come back to it. So each month, the week of the 22nd I would scrapbook pics and what he was learning. Well, he had his year birthday. So I finished the book and got it printed by the Memory mixer people. It was cheap- I figure when you put all the cost of the books, paper, the pictures, the embellishments. It probably is about the same, it is just a lump sum. Anyways, I love that I got his first year down, and my goal is to keep it up I am not sure if I will print a year at a time or two years. I love memory mixer, I think it is great! So if anyone wants a mess free way to scrapbook this is it!

Thanksgiving

Decorating the cookies!
My cute boys!
All the cute cookies! Leslie is going to be starting a blog soon- so stay tune for the address! :)
Dad craving the turkey!
You can't really tell in this picture, but Jonathan is wearing disposables and he is in 6 month pants and his pants where falling off. I thought that it was so funny!
Thanksgiving in Provo! Dave and Jonathan enjoyed the morning together, while I was at work! But I was able to get off at 1, so that I didn't miss out on any of the fun (I hate not being with my family and having to work!). I got there in time for making turkey cookies. All the kids, enjoyed making their own. Jonathan had fun eating the candy corn. He was good at putting it in his mouth no the cookie- next year he will do better. We enjoyed lunch, and did our wishes while we eat. We enjoyed great food- the rolls and turkey was great this year. Then we planned our attack for the next day!! The boys played Risk- Dave won again but he knows for Christmas everyone is going to get him! The grand kids put puzzles together! We enjoyed our time as a family! We missed Jeff and Marcie and the boys this year! (hope you had fun in Texas). Dave and I our so thankful for all our blessings! (I figured it was better late then never to blog Thanksgiving- I worked a lot during the Holiday so here it is!)

Quick Trip!

Grandma Harris, Jonathan, and Kirsten! I love Jonathan's little smile here!
Cousins!

We were able to go down to St. George the weekend prior to Thanksgiving and visit with Dave's Mom and Sister. It was fun to see Jonathan and Kirsten interact with each other. We had a nice ham dinner, played ticket to ride and talked. We enjoyed ourselves, although it was short!

Our Smart Little Boy!

This is gum ball machine that Jonathan loves to play with. But, right now Jonathan is into putting things into containers and then taking them out. He was playing this weekend and when I looked over he had but random things into the machine. He is very smart boy!
This is cute little Jonathan playing Hide and seek with me. He like to play chase or Hide and seek with me. He gives me this look and I know what he wants to do!

Jonathan is learning new things all the time! Things that I don't even realize that he knows how to do. Like today I was working on a project and he was exploring, and he found the diaper bag. Earlier today I cut up an orange and put it in a zip lock bag and put it in the diaper bag. While, I could tell that Jonathan had the bag of oranges, but when I looked down he was eating them, he got it out of the zip lock to my surprise. This last week was his first time eating a orange and he thinks they are great!

Our Favorite Game!

Our favorite game right now is Ticket to Ride. We first started to play the game in California on vacation at the Youngberg's, and Dave has loved it since. I got it for him for his Birthday. And we seem to play it frequently on Sundays. It is a lot of fun. You get tickets for certain destinations, and you have to build your train to get there, you can have multiple destinations. IT is a lot of fun there is more to it, but that is the basics. We played with my parents on Sunday and I won both times!!! Everyone should look into it. I think that Uncle Neil would have fun with this game!

Accepted!

Dave has finally decided what he wants to be when he grows! A High School teacher (which I think is perfect for him). Well, he applied for the program at the beginning of October, and he found out this past Friday. He is in the program, so we celebrated and went to Wingers! Way to go Sweety!

Family Pictures

For Jonathan's year pictures, we decided to bit the big one and go to Kiddie Kandids. They did a great job (we usually go to another place, and they seem to kind of struggle ). The lady that took our pictures- what great with Jonathan he was laughing and smiling the entire time. When we saw a certain pose that we didn't like, she was more then willing to let us try again. We got the picture the same day, which is a total plus! They have great props and backgrounds. The down fall is that they are so expensive- but I guess that is what it cost to get them right back and to have a great photographer. We will definitely go back, but it might be awhile!

Making my Boy Fat?

So we went into the Doctors today for Jonathan's one year check up. So we talked to him about our concerns. And then he talked to us about his concern- his weight! He is a year- and he is 16 lbs he is still in the 2%. I am wondering if anyone has some good ideas of how to "power pack" his food. If there are any food that are fattening that your kids love? Any ideas would be helpful!!! Thanks

Happy Halloween

Jonathan!
Our little Family
Cousins!

They are 2 months apart- Jonathan and Abby were playing together tonight it was way cute (I need to post pics later)
Our cute bear!
This is Jonathan's first sucker- he loved it. But when he was done he handed it over to Dad- it was way cute! Jonathan and Great Grandma!

I consider this Jonathan's first Halloween (since last one he was in the NICU). I was so fun to get Jonathan all dressed up, it is a lot better with a little one to dress up (a lot of you may know that I am not all into dressing up although Dave is convinced that we are going to dress up like Kristi's family does). He was so adorable as a bear. We went trick or treating with the cousins and then we came back to Gram's and Papas and had scones- it was fun to be with the cousins and she how cute they are!

Happy Birthday Jonathan!

I made a caterpillar cake!
Happy boy!
All the kids gathering around!
Jonathan enjoying his cake (Jonathan didn't get very messing- he just likes to feel things with his hands!)
We love our little boy! We can't believe that he is one years old today! He brings so much joy to our family! I still remember when Dave and I brought Jonathan home from the hospital, we didn't know exactly what to do. But as time went on we learned our parenting roles. And now Jonathan is all over crawling (even on his knees), pulling himself up and side stepping. We are working on standing with him and he is doing so much better.

On Saturday, we had a birthday party for Jonathan! It was a bug theme. We had lot of fun. Jonathan loves people! So he just enjoyed himself being with everyone! We played a game, and then blew the candle out and opened presents! Thank you everyone that came and made it a memorable birthday for our little one! We got Jonathan a quiet book for church- and Jonathan was very excited about it he clapped his hands (it was funny that he was getting excited about the quiet book).

Loves

Jonathan is such a Daddy's boy! Dave likes to remind me that he loves his Mom too! When I come home from a long day at work. Dave and Jonathan are playing or getting ready for bed. He usually just gets really happy and smiles at me. Just recently, Jonathan has stopped playing and he will crawl up to me and give me loves for just a few seconds and then he wants down. So he can play again. Let me tell you- that sure makes me feel loved!

Playin' in the Dyer

Well, today I was called off from work. So Dave and I were both home. I was getting ready for the day. And Dave was going to feed Jonathan. Well, Jonathan is our little explorer. We usually keep the door closed so he doesn't get hurt. But, Dave had just took some laundry out of the dyer. Jonathan likes to stand at the dyer and bounce. I thought that is what he was doing when Dave told me to come look. I couldn't believe that he climbed into the dyer. (He doesn't usually play in the dyer!)

It's a.......

Well, this week we went and had our ultrasound. And everything was great, no problems with the placenta or brain. I was so glad. We had a hard time though getting the baby to move so we could see the sex. We finally did and it is a baby girl. Dave and I both felt like it was going to be a girl! We are very excited!

Excited!

I love this picture I have been trying to capture this smile for

while. When he gets excited then he does this face, it just makes me laugh! (we are having computer problems so I will have to continue blogging later)

I think that this is a funny picture of Jonathan. He loves coffee tables right now cause they are just his size! My friend, Michelle, swap babysitting and this is at there house.

Jonathan is doing very well at standing and pulling himself up to what ever he can! I am working with him on side stepping- I know that he will get it in his own time! Tomorrow Jonathan will be 11 months- I can't believe it is going to be year soon! Time has gone so fast!

Sundays!

I have to share this story, although I don't have a picture of it, we do have it on video (although i am not sure how to put that on here at this time). Well, Sundays are always a long day for Jonathan since he misses his first nap. So by the end of church he is ready to go to sleep. Yesterday he didn't get his morning nap (which always makes him more tried and ready for naps the next day). So at the end of sacrament he was on Dave's lap in n awkward position and he started to closes his eyes. But it was time to go to Sunday school and he is always up to seeing what ever he can- and doesn't want to miss anything. Well, he rest of church was hard. But Dave was nice and took Jonathan to Priesthood so I could have a break. Well, the rest of church I could tell that he was ready for a nap. Well, church is done at 130, and his afternoon nap is 2pm. So I knew we needed to feed him when we got home. So I put him in the highchair and let him start working on some finger foods. Then I started to feed him applesauce, and in the middle of feeding him he started to fall asleep in the highchair-but he jerked himself awake and ate another bite and then he did it again. As you can tell he was so tried. We put him down and not even a cry. It was the funnest thing. Dave and I laughed so hard- our little boy was so tried!

Jonathan and Lavette

Jonathan loves Lavette. Good thing that Lavette doesn't mind kids. So Jonathan loves to play on top of Lavette. When Lavette is done she walks away. Although Jonathan still might want to play!

Playin' with the cousins

I think that is a great picture of them- with Lacey on the egde!
Pickin' the Grass
Jonathan loves to play with his cousins, and they love to play with him. Although sometime they forget how young Jonathan is. One Sunday in August, we were at Papa's and Grammy's and I went and pushed the kids on the swings. They had a fun time!
