Sunday!

(Sorry it was recorded the wrong way!)

This morning Jonathan decided to get my heels out of the closet and walk through the house with them! I think it was very cute! So today during sacrament we had a few misshapes. When the bread was being passed I told Jonathan to take one and he took a handful and sat down very delighted to get bread. Then during the water portion of the sacrament Dave tried to pass the water without Sarah touching it and Sarah got it and got water all over Dave's pants. But besides that it was a very successful sacrament. We didn't have to take either one of them out, which is great! After church we came home and I put Sarah down, and Jonathan ate something. Then after he was done he said "Mom nap", and he went right down! I loved it!

What he does...

This is what Jonathan does quite frequently when he is in Papa's backyard(of late)! Jonathan loves people and loves to either be with them or watch them Well, yesterday Jonathan was helping Papa in the garden (well playing with dirt). Well, he soon was found doing this! I think it is cute!

Playin'

Enjoying each other!

So this past week Jonathan was dying to play outside. So finally in the afternoon they both went outside! I put Sarah on the Seasaw and Jonathan started pushing he it was cute. So i hurried and got my camera, but I was afraid that they would have stopped. I was able to get a little video of there cute plays together!

The banner

So I had to include this cute picture of Jonathan sleeping. These are the two things that he has to fall asleep with these days. I just love that he tucks his blue bear under his arm!
So there a few of you that wanted to see how it turned out! So here it is! I am going to try a different pattern. There is a lady in our stake that sales them on etsy, and that one looks cute too! I will let you know when that happens!
Just a little update! So today was a HARD day! Sarah has just not been doing good (being her hppy self, and it is really hard on me). Tonight I had Dave give her a blessing. I think that she is having a hard time transitioning off nursing. Which makes it 10xs harder. But after the blessing she all of the sudden became her happy self. We are down to only 3 feedings and I know it is even going to get tougher when we drop the noon feeding for me and Sarah. I am really struggling with the fact that I won't get to see my little family at work during my lunch break. But, I know that its for the best especially if we can get past this point and help Sarah realize that real food fills her up! I also went to a spin class this morning and I used my road bike shoes and oh did it make a difference! I am really enjoying the hard workout (if you can't tell)!

Spring Break!

On St Patrick's Day we had the some of the cousins over, which of course the kids loved. I made green rice crispy treats, which they thought was great! We also has the traditional cornbeef and cabbage for dinner!
Getting the garden ready!
Dave found a gardener snake, and Jonathan thought it was pretty interesting!
Our cute boy!
One of our many trips to Lowe's

Playing in the sandbox!

Enjoying the wonderful weather!
With spring break comes spring cleaning, and Sarah was helping me!
After a great meal!
We had a very enjoyable spring break! We got a lot of things done on our to do list. It was just nice to be home together for a few days. Jonathan would often comment "Momma home, Dada home, Sarah home, Jonathan home". It is very unusual for us all to be home together. We worked in the backyard a lot and started getting our garden area together. This year will be our first year using that corner beside the planter box. It use to just be full of weeds. Dave also got Jonathan's sand box and filled it with sand. Jonathan has already started to enjoy it! We took many trips to Lowe's. Dave is in the process up putting up a screen door for the back door; which we have been needing for sometime! WE enjoyed doing errands together as a family. I worked an extra shift recently to earn some extra money. I get frustrated living on a tight budget at time, so it nice to be able to work a little extra to get some extra spending money. So i took Dave out to dinner t Johnny Carino's it was wonderful, and we also had this wonderful waitress! Thanks Leslie. We enjoyed talking and being able to just enjoy each other. We decided to just got to dinner, which was a good thing. Because when we got home both our kids were both up and it was past 9. I didn't really understand why the babysitter didn't put them down. But needless to say they slept great for naps the next day (which is rare). Then on Saturday Dave and I went to the temple, which was very needed! It was great to go and get away from everything for a few hours.
This morning I started training for my tri. The hardest part is swimming for me. So I have been procrastinating starting, but today I did it. The first few laps I could feel it, but then it came easier. I also finished my Birthday banner, but it wasn't exactly what I wanted so am perfecting it (or making a new pattern)!

The Little Things

It's the little things in life that you appreciate! I hate putting Sarah in her car seat! She just squirms and tries to get herself out of the car seat for a good minute; she just hates being tried down. I thought that being in an upright car seat she would do better. But it didn't change anything. HOWEVER, this past week things have changes. Sarah has realized that being in a car seat is part of life she just goes in happily! I just love it! And on top of that she also has realized after a long long time that quiet time is till 3 and she has started to play in her crib. This also is Heaven! Plus last night we went to the temple and we got a babysitter that is a newer babysitter and she said that since we went to the temple she would baby as a free service as I was paying her. It was a pleasant gift to us! It's the little things that make me happy!

The happenings in our life

Dave has been really busy with school this semester; he is taking 17 credits and there is a lot of busy work. But the end is in site and I am counting down the months! But I always love Wednesdays cause he comes home from school at 5 pm and doesn't work. So we get to eat dinner as a family and he helps me with putting the kids down. It is wonderful. I love you sweety! I of course think that this is an adorable picture!
Loretta made this and then put it as her picture on facebook; and I have been craving it ever since. So I made the different piece and Dave assembled it for dinner at my parents on Sunday since I had to work. It was great (I don't think that is looks as good as Loretta's but it still was good!)

I was trying to take a picture of all three of us, this was the best one. Which isn't that great but that is okay!Sarah is in the background hiding.

I haven't blogged in awhile and I feel so far behind. I don't know what I have been really up to. Just seems like I am trying to always get caught up on spring cleaning and organizing plus the normal cleaning; and the everyday things such as working, being a mother, practicing the piano and whatever seems to come my way.
I am getting really close to finishing a birthday banner that I am making for birthdays. They can be purchased upwards to 40 dollars on etsy. I figure I can perfect them for a lot cheaper. I will post it when I 'm done!
Kristi's birthday was this last week and we enjoyed lunch at a Chinese place, it was really fun to caught up with my sisters and Mom. We were the only ones in the restaurant; which made it even nicer.

Jonathan being Jonathan

Jonathan loves his birdie. When we were in St. George Jonathan learned to say birdie, and then we went to Red Robin and the manager gave Jonathan this birdie and he loves it. He like to talk to him and sleep with him!
Everyone is eating including the bears!

This is Jonathan pretending to sleep with the bear on the rocking chair!
Jonathan loves these cars, he is always attracted to them.
Going to explore.
Enjoying Chucky Cheeses with one of Dave's coworkers daughters.
Jonathan's imagination has really started to grow. He loves his little blue bear and loves to take it wherever he can. He thinks that he needs to eat, sleep and get changed with Jonathan. I love it. It is so fun to watch him create. Jonathan loves to explore. Jonathan enjoyed Chucky Cheeses, but it was very traumatic cause he got stuck in one of the jungle gym type toys, and could get down, and it was too hard for Dave to get him down (I had to work that night so I couldn't experience it with them; but this is from what Dave told me). Jonathan's words continue to explode and he is putting two work phrases together more and more. Jonathan is learning to obey more and more, he of course has his off days but overall I have seen a lot of progress with him as I am being consistent. We also have started to try to teach him manners at the table. His new recent word is excuses me (it is really cute)We love our little boy!

Sarah Bear!

This is Sarah's first time having her first ponytail! I think that she looks so cute (minus her poor eye; just give a guess what happen. Yep, Jonathan is the culprit)
Just lovin' it!

Sweet Sarah

Sarah's first time going to Chucky Cheeses. Sarah really enjoyed herself.

Sarah was ready to go by this time!
Sarah is starting to become our little girl. I mean little because we went to the doctors last week and Sarah is in the 20 percentile for weight and 9 percentile for height. The doctor told me that I should go on a little vacation with out Sarah. Meaning that I need to wean her. The day before at work I just all of the sudden decided that I was going to stop pumping. So it was good time for both. I have weaned Sarah down to three feeding a day, which she seems to be doing fine. I am having a hard time thinking that soon I will not be seeing my family at lunch during work. AND that makes work so much HARDER! But I will make it through just like I did with Jonathan. I can till that Sarah is doing lot better already in eating real food. She isn't depending on me. I am hoping her weight will increase. I think the hardest feeding to stop will be the morning feeding. But it is good that I work weekend periodically so that it will help the transition.
Sarah is starting to walk with a walker of some sort. This video below is her first attempt, she decided to do it all by herself. And then on Monday at Jonathan's school we played in there play room and Sarah was walking with a car. Her stance was even better then before! This is so fun to watch. (I don't know if I am ready for her to walk, and have two kids in two different spots; but then in another breath it will be nice not to have to carry her all the time.) She is so proud of herself!

Sarah loves to pull things out of drawers and she loves to push buttons. She has just learned how to turn off a light switch, but not sure how to turn it on. She loves to play with Jonathan. It is like music to my ears when they play and laugh together. I love it! Sarah and Jonathan are wrestling again, but Sarah would rather have Jonathan run after her while she crawls and then have him tackle her. But I have to watch closely cause Jonathan like to hold on a little to long her Sarah. Spring is upon us and Jonathan and the cousins are outside, and I can tell Sarah longs to be out there. But, this might help her start walking sooner we will see.

Trash the Dress!

So these are a frew pictures of Trash the dress that I did! IT was a lot of fun, and Emily did a great job! I can't wait to see all the pictures we took about 300!

Sarah's year pictures!

I have finally downloaded Sarah's year pictures! I have been having a hard time scanning. Sarah has a hard time being really smiley at people she doesn't know! But I think that they turned out very good overall!

The amazing pianist!

I was able to go to my piano teachers senior recital. it was amazing, she was amazing! She played 5 different pieces, which totaled around 45 minutes of playing and it was all memorized. The piece above was only part of the song cause I couldn't record the entire thing. She has been practicing for 2 years for this day, with spending 4 hours a day and at the end spending 8 hours a day. It was just awesome to listen and watch her play with so much emotion and exactness! At the end it brought tears to my eyes to think how hard she worked to get to this point in her life! I am truly being taught by a master pianist, I am very truly blessed. ( I tried and tried to download a song but to no avail- so here are my thoughts!)

Life

So Dave and I just love taking sweet pictures when our kids our sleeping!
So on Monday I went to my first Spin class it was awesome. I am excited to be going to those on a regular basis. One of the awesome facts is that you can burn up to 600-900 calories in one spin class. Who wouldn't love that? There were people that were just dieing in the class, and one girl almost threw up. I was fine, I thought that I could have even been pushed even more. I think that having a rode bike and being use to that helped a lot. I am going to a regular class tonight, so we will see how that goes. I want to do a tri this summer, I figure if I put it on the blog it will happen! I am excited to get back into it, with having kids and trying to get back in shape I just haven't done it for a good 2-3 yrs!
On another not I was very disappointed with the outcome of the bachelor, and with that I am not going to be watching the next one. Which I of course stated before I knew who the next person was. I loved Jillian, but i feel that the show does not support my morals and values so I shouldn't watch it any more. This may sound silly, but this is really hard for me to not watch anymore. Wish me luck!!!
Oh and just a thought, do you think that Sarah may have a BM during her nap on purpose so she doesn't have to sleep? I am serious!

Our little Vacation!

We went down Friday night so that the kids would sleep so when we woke up we were at Grandma H house. We didn't get to see Grandma a lot because she was at a conference so we don't have a lot of pictures!
We went up Snow Canyon! This is something that we have always done, every time we go down! IT was so nice to be outside in the warm weather! WE enjoyed it a lot!
Look at the blue sky with the red rock!

Dave and Sarah!
Sarah loved the hike. She loved being held and seeing everything around her!

We enjoyed the little hike, we saw little lizards and birds and all the scenery!
These nice people on the trail took a picture for us! picture above in the collage we too ourselves, it was really fun to pet into place. To bad Sarah kind of hiding.
Jonathan enjoyed getting down and running around in the rocks, while we were on our hike Jonathan learned how to say birdie and rock!
After our morning hike we went over to Red Robin for lunch. This was the first thing that Jonathan went too when we got there! We enjoyed lunch with some of Dave's old High school friends and families! We enjoyed talking and Dave especially loved his luuch!
Afterwards we went over to Brian's and played the beloved Wii! Dave would love one of these at our house (maybe when we have a more disposable income~whenever that might be) We enjoyed playing tennis, boxing, and Mario cart!
The kids enjoyed the toy closet that was right in the front room, it was so nice! I definitely would love one of these!
Sweet Sarah
That night we were able to spend sometime with Grandma! This was the first time that Jonathan has really bonded with Grandma it was great! On the way home Jonathan had a hard time leaving because he just kept crying for Grandma! We went to dinner; Jonathan and Sarah shared a kids meal and Jonathan was in heaven because it came with a ice cream sunday! It was nice to talk with Grandma and see what she has been up to, and to see how happy she is at this time in her life made Dave and I very happy!

One of the main reasons for going to St George was to support Brian and Amber on there big day with Mayelyn; we are birthday buddies! It was nice to be there for the blessing. That morning we went to church with Grandma, and Jonathan did great in nursery! It was nice for Dave and I to go to Sunday school and Relief and Priesthood since we don't get the opportunity with our calling. WE just went to sacrament in the afternoon, but Jonathan didn't understand why we weren't going to nursery. He of course had a fit, but I had to explain to him why and then he was fine. Jonathan did great at the blessing, he was sitting by one of Brian's cute nieces and Jonathan was in Heaven he even gave her a big kiss on the lips. Jonathan has no problems showing his affection, although the little girl wasn't to sure about the kiss! After we had a big barbecue at Brian, we enjoyed visiting with his family.

Coming back to Grandma's; Jonathan was out. So we decided to pack up and go. On the way out Jonathan finally woke up, and that is when he didn't understand where Grandma was!
Sarah enjoyed visiting with and being held by Grandma! It was nice to get away for a while!
