Playing at the park!

Jonathan first went down the slide feet first and then like the slide at the mall he went head first. He did it the first time fine and then look below.
Sarah at first just enjoying herself in the wagon and watching Jonathan! And then I got her out of the wagon and we went on the slide together!

So Jonathan then went head first and was going too fast and couldn't stop (I was taking care of Sarah) and then I hear Jonathan say "Uh Oh" and he is head first in the mud and trying to figure out how to get out of it. But after we wiped his nose it didn't seem to phase him!
The dirt spot Jonathan fell into, it was kind of muddy!
Playing around!
I love this one cause Jonathan is going down the slide and Sarah is in the background crawling around!
Enjoying the playground!

This was Sarah first time on the swing and she absolutely loved it! She smiled and screamed for joy, it was so fun to watched. Her favorite part was when I would push her!
Look at that face!
On Monday it was a nice day, Spring is coming, so we went to the park in the wagon. Jonathan and Sarah loved it and loved being outside at the Park. I know Jonathan thought that it was better then the playground at the mall!

Jonathan's Random Acts

By the end of today, Jonathan thought that every car he heard was Daddy coming home, so I let him stay up till he got home. Well, I was on the phone with Dave. Jonathan started to do this. It cracked me up, the first time was the best cause it came out of nowhere(but I of course didn't get that)! I love this boy!

What's been happening

This past week my cousin Katie got married, we were able to got the reception. It was fun to met up with everyone that we haven't seen in awhile and caught up. Jonathan was in heaven with the dancing that they had there at the reception!
I loved this! Someday I wonder if Jonathan will have the desire to learn to play the piano like his Mom!

So last night for our Friday night treat I decided to make rice crispy treats However, I only had hard marshmallows that were forever old I thought they would be fine! But of course they were so chewy, it was actually comical!
Our cutie!
This morning when i went and got Jonathan up he wanted Sarah to be in his bed with him! I had to take a few pictures!

I love that expression!
What's been going on. I have a few days off and I feel that my house is a disaster most of the time. WELL, would agree to disagree. But I really like things organized and put in there spot. But I can say that sometimes this is not the time. However, I have found some madness to my organization to help me stay organized and sane like our family room and my label maker, getting rid of things that I know we don't want. SO with this I have been organizing and cleaning this week, today I have two more things that I need to conquer but the desire is lacking and blogging my thoughts and sleeping are calling more. But, I can say that I LOVE a clean home it make me so happy. Dave and I have a system that we do each night to keep the small living area clean which helps but the deep cleaning and the backside of the house just doesn't seem to happen as much as I would like.
Well, today I had the opportunity to go to women's conference for our stake, which my mom was in charge of and she always does such a great time. I was a able to visit with my Grandma and Aunt Loretta (Kristi we missed you and hope you keep recovery). I am thankful for opportunities like these to give me strength and courage to know what I need to do to be a better person and to build a stronger testimony of my Savior so that I can be a light to my children and to the people that are around me. I really enjoyed the first speaker who talked about finding reasons to rejoice even in the hard times; finding joy. And also how preparing to met Heavenly Father brings JOY. This has become my journal in so many ways. I there are so many people that look at my blog many only look at the pictures come read the posts and some read, look and comment. I am fine with whatever floats your boat because this has become something for me, and outlet if you will. I can truly say that blogs have become a wonderful thing for me to connect with friends that don't live close or see very often, to feeling connected with cousins that don't live close to feel a part of there life. And then running into people that you knew when you were some. I found a blog with week of someone that I grew up with. I look up to there family with admiration; the parents our rocks and there children have chosen there own path whatever that it might be. However the oldest child, whom I know but not very well, decided to do a more spiritual blog and I think that it is great. I feel that by reading a few post that I have become strengthen by her testimony through her blog. I am thankful for that and the blessings that blogs have become in my life.
This morning I went and had a workout and when I came back Sarah was crying, so I got her up and feed her in the front area of our house. While I was doing this I could hear Jonathan talking to himself, and then I sneezed and I hear Jonathan say "Bless you". It was so cute it just made me laugh!

Dessert Request

So there was some requests for this wonderful dessert! It is suppose to copy Chilli's molten lava cake.
1. First get big cupcake tin and mix a chocolate cake up, then pour it in the different tins. Cook till done (I was thinking that regular cupcakes would work too cause then it would be a better size!)

2. Then let it cool and after it cools, trim the tops so there is no longer a bump on the cupcake. Then turn over the cupcake so the bottom now is on the top. Cut around the cupcake and scoop out some of the cake so that you can put the fudge in.

3. Then warm hot fudge up in the mirco, and then scoop fudge in the cupcake and then place in the freezer for a few hours (or however long you want). When you are ready to serve place in the mirco, tell the fudge is warm throughout.

4. Then place vanilla ice cream on top and then drizzle magic shell on top. I garnished raspberries to make it look pretty. Then enjoy!

Love and Logic

So I finished the love and logic book. I really enjoyed it and felt like I gleaned a lot from it. I have some ideas of things that I need to implement to help me become a better parent. I will be purchasing it or putting it on my wish list. I have a hard time finishing books, so I was happy that I finished this in a timely matter. I guess when you know that you need a lot of parenting help, it sure encourages you to finish it. I think that this is a really good book for anyone to read!

Snowshoeing

Getting ready to go!

The beautiful view

Finishing the first trail!
Taken a detour up the mountain
When we were all done with our adventure!

Yesterday, we went snowshoeing for the first time. We were planning on taking the kids and putting them in the pack we have, but at the last minute we decided that it would be best this time not too (Thanks Kristi for watching them!). We also went with my parents, my Mom's work was offering a deal 5 dollars a person. So we went up to a lodge that was about 45 minutes from our house. We didn't know what to expect, the trail that they told us to go on wasn't that challenging but it was a good trail to start on to get the hang of it. We then decided to go and adventure off the path, which was more challenging and fun! We both really liked and our thinking about getting our own. So if anyone knows of any deals let us know!

Valentines Weekend

This is Cute little Jonathan loving the beater. We had put the kids down on Friday night, and I was making some of the dessert for Saturday night. Jonathan is going through a growth spurt or so at least I think he is (he has never really done this before). He has a hard time going to bed and then when we finally go in and see what is the matter He just wants to eat. Like tonight I guess he ate tons at Papa's and Grammy's and then when I was eating he ate an entire yogurt and that doesn't happen. BUT, this is Jonathan up for a snack and loving it!
Dave surprised me with roses on Friday night so I could enjoy them! I framed this picture for Dave since I love it and he was the one that captured that moment. I made these yummy sugared pecans. Jonathan and Sarah got bubbles that they of course LOVE!
That afternoon I had made an appointment to get my hair done at the local mall. I needed a total change so I searched for what I wanted and brought in a picture to the hairstylist. She did a great job, she took so much hair off. I love how light it is. We will have to see how it looks after I do it! Dave loved it and all he could say was WOW over and over again! It wasn't until we were going to bed that night that he asked me how much it was. I told him and then he asked if I loved it, and then he asked me if I loved it and I said yes. Then he said that it was worth it then. I thought it was very sweet. I haven't had a really good hair cut in years so I am very happy! I finally got home and we put the kids down. Then we enjoyed a nice steak dinner at home. It was nice to enjoy each other without the bustle of the restaurants. We then watched a movie, well let me rephrase that, Dave watched and I fell asleep. Dave woke me up after an hour and said lets go to bed. I then realized that we didn't eat our wonderful dessert! But Dave convinced me it was too late and that we could have it tomorrow. Well, all day I looked forward to it and let me tell you it was wonderful! Look at the picture below, doesn't it look AWESOME!!

Valentine Cookies

Getting ready!

Today as a family we decorated Valentine Cookies. It was lots of fun. Dave was very creative, Sarah enjoyed the frosting (didn't eat a bite of the cookie), and Jonathan enjoyed the candy!

Wonderful end to an exhausting day!

Yesterday, after a long and exhausting day at work; I was so ready to come home to see my wonderful family! Tuesdays are hard since Dave has class in the morning and afternoon. So in the afternoon we had a girl from the ward watch them, and they did great with her. But the minute I walked into the house. Both Sarah and Jonathan wanted their Mommy and just want me to hold them! Which, is very tricky! Well, I got Sarah down first since she is just ready as she always is. Then I got Jonathan ready for bed. I have been reading this Love and Logic parenting book, which I really like the discipline style. Dave and I have taken two classes previously from Jonathan's school. But there is so much information that it is hard to implement everything. So one thing that I have been getting out of all the reading is giving him more choices so he feels more in control of the situation. Well, last night I gave him so many choices, from the book he wanted to read to if he wanted to sit or stand while he brushed his teeth. Then when I told him it was time for bed (or a withdrawal as they call it cause there is no choice about it). He just said okay and walked back to his bed. It made for a great ending to the day. These are some PJ's Jonathan got from Grandma Harris aren't they the cutest! Jonathan goes through stages of loving certain books and right now he loves this book I got from my good friend Kayla called " The monster at the end of the book" it is very silly but Jonathan loves it and picks it up and always says "Shhhh" cause that is what you say on the second page. It always makes me laugh!

Dave took this one earlier in the day! Don't you love Sarah's hair. It was time to fold laundry, which is a dreaded chore in my house! Well, today was a first! When we say prayer I always say "its time for prayer, lets fold our arms". Today when I did that at lunch Sarah put her hands together kind of like she was praying. And then at dinner same thing it was so adorable. It is unbelievable how they pick up, when you just feel that you are doing the daily routine! Sarah is just over a year and she is already picking it up. Sarah is so adorable I just love her to pieces!

Watching Sarah Grow!(Lots of Pictures)

I wanted to put some pictures of Sarah's first year!
