Our cute Kids!

I thought that I would show you these cute pictures and what happens when I try to take pictures of the two of them! Sarah is now in 6 month clothes, I thought that maybe she was slowing down but it doesn't look like it! She is in the cute outfit that Grandmother and Aunt Lori gave to us- isn't she a cutie in it (as the shirt says). Jonathan just loves Sarah- when she cries he says Rara over and over again. When Sarah is doing tummy time Jonathan crawls right up to her and loves to give her toys at first and then he climbs on her. She is so patient with him, she doesn't cry until he puts all his weight on her. I know that he is loving her. But this was the sequence of events in taking pictures of Sarah and Jonathan. Sarah is such a trooper!

So this is me changing Sarah's Diaper. I lifted her legs and then she started to laugh, so I went and got the camera. Every time I try to show Dave her new laugh she doesn't do it. Just in front of Mommy. So now you can all hear Sarah's cute laugh! I love it!

Side note- thanks everyone for your comments on Jonathan's communication issue. I have been working on a few signs with him and I think that it is working. He has about four signs down. And this afternoon when he got up from his nap the first thing he did was the sign for eat! So I think that we are making head way! And Jonathan is now in the 3rd % for height so he is making progress and the Dr was happy about that. He said keep doing what your doing! This made me happy!

Soup

So I like soup and Dave doesn't. I like to make it cause it usually is easy to make, cheap and good. Well, Dave doesn't feel that it fills him up. But, tonight I made vegetable soup from "Dinners on Me"( http://dinnersonme.blogspot.com/) - and Dave liked it!! He said that I could make it again! So we finally have success! (She cooked some bacon with it so I could sprinkle it on top. HOW could I not like it? It has bacon with it.)

The Deal this Week

So of course it is Saturday and the deal for the day was this kid carrier backpack! I got this for 20 bucks! We are going on family vacation this summer to bear Lake and we are planning on doing some hiking and walking. This will be so nice! For our Y hike we used Kristi's and it was a Lifesaver- we kind of need two, but one will be fine now. So I looked online to see if I did good or not, and they are about 100-200 dollars brand new! So I think that I did good!

Jonathan never...

This past week I started to clean out our lundry room cause we are going to redo it. And I kept this box in the family room cause I knew that Jonathan would have fun with it- and he do. He got into it and I pulled him back nd forth in the dining rea and he just loved it, he also played peek a boo with me.
Our funny boy!

Jonathan never cease to amaze me. So this past week I was changing Sarah and Jonathan was in the nursery with me. Then I turned around to see what he was doing. Then he was gone. I couldn't see him or hear him. That usually means that he in exploring something. So I kept changing the diaper, but I got a little worried. So i started calling his name, and he came out of his hiding spot. He just made me laugh, he was under Sarah's crib.
This past week I have really notice the communication barrier between Jonathan and I. He is getting really frustrated and mad at times cause I don't know what he wants (Jonathan has a limited vocabulary he knows a few). He screams and cries a lot- just trying to communicate. The peep people have said to work on signing with him. But he hasn't really picked that up. Dose anyone have any suggestion to get me through this time? Jonathan stayed in nursery the entire time this past Sunday, it was so enjoyable for me! He is 18 months tomorrow- I can't believe it!Posted by Picasa

Our Cutie

Well, I thought that I would just do a little update! Sarah is still very content baby. She has moved up her time to go to sleep at 8pm and then she wakes up between 8 or 830- it is wonderful! She is still growing tons. She is doing so well, with tummy time! Her neck is getting so much stronger. She got to see Great Great Grandma this past week, and she just loved her. She kept touching her cute cheeks and said many times that she was a fatty (but in a good way). It was fun to watch Grandma interact with her. Sarah is so cute. She is also doing really good at batty at things on her mat and car seat!Posted by Picasa

One of my great finds!

So on Saturday we went out to some more garage sales. It was a great day- I found tons of clothes for the kids, frames, presents, and home decor.

But the best find was just here in our city. There was all this American stuff and I really liked the big flag sign and the sign that said stars and strips forever. So I asked the lady how much the signs for and she said 5 dollars and 7 dollars. Then Kristi said well how much is all of it, and I was thinking in my mind I will only pay 50 dollars. But she said 15 dollars- so of course I had to get it. Then we asked how much the shelves were and she said 5 dollars. So everything that is in my living room and entry I got for 20 dollars. When we got home the one big flag sign still had the tag on it and it was 15 dollars when she bought it! Well, i wasn't sure if I would like it. But we got half of it up with my mom and I and then Dave and I finished today. And it is growing on me and I am loving it more and more! Now the living room has some style- before it just had a picture from our honeymoon!

The Best....

Some of my good finds!
Can I say that Garage Sales can be the best! Today I found Jonathan's Santa Present, I love it and think that it is so cute and he will have fun. Now you are wondering what it is- you will just have to wait for Christmas like Jonathan does! But really, you can get some really good stuff if you are willing to look. I got this hand blender that hasn't even been used for 1 dollar- yes a buck. I do come home and think why did I buy that, in the moment you do sometimes buy things you may not need- but for the most part I try to be grounded. But I do love garage sale seasons!

Sarahs Day

This was a wonderful day! Thank you for all that came and supported us on this great day! Dave gave a nice blessing. Then after church we had lunch (thanks again Mom and Dad). Then we enjoyed each others company, by eating talking, playing games, and the kids playing outside. It was lots of fun! I am glad that it is over, we are all exhausted and ready for life to get back on its normal routine, esp Jonathan!Posted by Picasa

Our Lobster

On Saturday we hiked the Y with Dave's parents. It was a great day we started to hike about 10:30 and got off the mountain about 1. Well, Dave had Jonathan on his back and I had Sarah on my front side. Well, it never occurred to me that I should put sunblock on my fair skinned, red head. He got so burnt, which I didn't even realize how bad it was till that night! Let just say I have learned my lesson, not just because Jonathan got a blister on his cheek!Posted by Picasa

Crazy....

Posted by PicasaCrazy Hair! Jonathan's hair is getting really long and I need to cut it, but I have a hard time with change and losing Jonathan's baby hair! K, I am done for tonight, I was having fun learning how to use the collage, thanks Nat!!

Lady in Red.....

Smiles!
This is my first attempt in doing a collage! It wasn't that hard. This is Sarah this past Saturday. Isn't she adorable!

The Day Has Come

Yes- Jonathan is finally starting to take some steps! On Sunday we were at my parents and we put Jonathan down and he actually stood. We all started to cheer so he got excited and took some steps. It was great. Through the week, he would stand here and there, but no real progress. But this afternoon, I was taking Jonathan out of the nursery and had him stand and he stood and then he took some steps. I think he started to realize that he he could stand. So after he fell down, he came back to me and he wanted me to help him stand. He stood and walked again. So in the hall with Dave's help he walked back and forth. He was so proud of himself. I was so proud of him. It was an exciting day! Does anyone know how to tell me quickly how to download videos- do you have to have a special cord?

New Blog Address

You might have noticed some changes on the page like our profile and the title of the page. We too have been thinking about it, and we are going change our blog address. This is to help with safety and what Liz was talking about, so if you can remove our last name on your blog as a link(if you have it listed) that would be great. Our new address will be www.dsh4.blogspot.com, I will not change this for about a week; inorder for people to see the post. Thanks

General Conference

The boys making breakfast!!
We always enjoy Conference weekend! But, yesterday was great to sustain Pre Monson and to be part of the solemn assembly! For some reason I don't remember sustaining Pre Hinckley, although I was in 8th grade. But, it was awesome to see the different groups sustain him, and the wonderful spirit that was felt! It is great weekend to be spiritually uplifted. I loved it!

Our climber, our smart little boy!

Look at me! Jonathan has learned to climb into the swing and swing himself. He will close the top and be very content swing himself. The first time he did this I turned around and he was in there- it just made he laugh!
Uh-Oh!

Jonathan loves to climb, the last little while he has learned to climb onto chairs and stand at the chair. He is very proud of himself to do this. He wants to be a big boy! Once he climbs on the chair he will try to climb on the table and get things that he wants. We have told him not to do this again and again- telling him that he will get hurt. My brother in law said he will learn but it will take him a few times! The following day he had a big spill at Papas and hurt his chin and lip. But, he hasn't learned yet!
Jonathan is learning more words- he can say Sarah in his own way- more like "Rara". He loves outside and being with his Dad while he works. This past week he went outside and it was cold. So after 45 minutes and his hands and nose cold and his nose running. I made him come in which he was okay at first with and then he was ready to go back out! He is getting so close to standing- I am hoping this next month, time will tell!

Our Cute Girl!

I love this outfit! The phrase is so true!

These are some cute pictures of Sarah! Thanks Lindsey for the one cute outfit and cute bow! I had to get her 3-6 month outfits out because she will be out of them in no time! She is just growing like crazy!!
