Crossing the sweet water, the Saints did this when it was -10 degrees.

Martins Cove Part 3 (June)

We then headed to Martins Cove to met up with the Family reunion.  This first day we prepped for the trek.  WE went to the museum and learned about saints and some of our ancestors that DI the trek.  WE had dinner, square dancing, and a fireside about our specific ancestor Jame Brigham Wright that walked across the plains!

So thankful that grandpa made these so Grandma could come, and I am so thankful that Grandma Held Henry for most of the trek!

Sweet Cousins!  Oh how we love you!

My wonderful talented Husband, he helped bring the spirit with the music that he played!

By the end of the day, we were all so tried!

The next day we hiked Independence Rock.  This was the rock that the Saints needed to reach by July 4th to make to the valley before snow fall!

Sarah just loved Elsa!  Especially since she got baptized!

Sisters

This was such a fun Tree to climb!

This was the womens pull!  It was an amazing experience as these Saints gave all they could to cross the plains.  There were many women that did it on there own without husbands.  They were strenghthen, they did hard things.  We where challenged to think of an experience that something was so hard that we had to dig down deep inside and rely on the Lord for strengthen.  As I pulled up the hill I felt the strenghten that the Lord has given me to go through the past year and I was able to do it, eventhough I never thought I really could!

The kids found this fun little handcart and where having a blast pulling it around!
