Sarah

Sarah had a hard time that she didn't get to go camping with Jonathan and Daddy! So I had planned that night after Gordon went down we would do a few fun things together- but we needed to run a few errands after dinner. When we got back this how she was totally asleep with her dolly! Which she LOVES! Daddy put her tent up on her bed since she didn't get to go camping when he got back!

Father and Sons!

Both Dave and Jonathan were so excited to go to Father and Sons, and go camping! They both had a blast! Jonathan loved being in the mountains and hiking. He woke up way early the next morning cause he couldn't sleep!

Best Buds!

Most of the time!

Gordon is 4 months old

Our cutie!

Sarah adores Gordon, the first thing she does in the morning is fines Gordon and wants to give him a kiss!

I just love that face!

This is the Moby wrap I have really started to like it more and more. Around dinner time he is getting tried and restless and wants to be held. I love to put it on then, and so I can hold him and get things down also!

Gordon is four months old today!!! Time sure does fly! He sure is a happy baby! Dave and I were commenting the other day about how happy Gordon is, and how we don't remember our other kids being so happy all the time. Gordon is such a content baby, so calm and relaxed. Gordon had his four month check up yesterday, and the doctor thought he looked great. Except that he hasn't rolled over, I told him that I wasn't too concerned because does a lot of tummy time and he would do it on his own time. The doctor but him on his tummy, and said that he had great up body strength he just needed to put his arm up. When he is on tummy time he is a mover though he will push himself around the blanket if he is there long enough. Gordon continues to grow he is 17 lbs and in the 82%tile and 25.5 inches long and is in the 70%tile. Gordon continues to grab at things more and more- and he has already started to grab while we are eating things. He continues to eat great and sleep great, and continues to love to suck his thumb to himself fall asleep or get back to sleep. He has two naps and the afternoon nap sleeps the best. Gordon's hair is coming in more and he defiantly is a red head like his brother, but it is growing a lot on the middle top, which is cute). I LOVE Gordon and really enjoy the time we have together, he loves to coo and talk to me I just love it (I want to video talk him talking, but I have to have Dave with me).

His Hand

I want to write down my feels of things that have been happening in our life! After having Gordon and before that I have been wanting to be home, I have wanted to be able to have more time with my children- for they will only be little for such a short time. I thought that when I went on Maternity leave that I would go back to the hospital on PRN (or as needed). When the time came to start getting my schedule together, it just didn't feel right to go back to the hospital. The 12 hour shift just wasn't going to work with Dave and I. I wanted to be home!! I felt strongly that I wasn't supposed to go back, and I was at peace with it. I was enjoying being at home, and so was Dave.

Although, it was very much of a burden on Dave's shoulders to provide financially for our family. He worked hard and worked an evening job, for awhile. He also started his own little business on the side to do deliveries. But, everything just didn't cut it. I felt the burden myself and felt that I could help out. One of the reasons that I into nursing was to be able to be home and help out financially as needed. Well, i started looking into home health and hospice. I called around everywhere- but no one was really hiring. So I stopped and then I felt the need again. So I called the same places and was going to send my resume in if needed. But, one of the companies was hiring, which last week they weren't. So the manager said she wouldn't talk to me even though I didn't have home health experience. The position she needed was a on call/PRN position. It felt right , and it felt good. I thought that I had the job! But with people in the small company they did some moving around and they ended up not needing me. I was bummed, but moved and enjoyed being home. So the next week, I emailed and faxed companies my resume and left as that.

A few weeks past, and on Monday another company wanted to interview me and needed a part time person/PRN. I set up an interview with them on Thursday. Well, I talked with the manager and at first I didn't know how it would work with my family? But was we talked I thought I could do one-two pts at a time. She pretty much offered the job to me, but I needed to think about it and talk to Dave about it. My Dad was watching Gordon (Jonathan and Sarah were at a friends house), so called to tell him I was on my way home. He asked how it went and I told him and I said that the previous job was better but I thought this would work. I felt that by saying that, I let the Lord know what I wanted and was thinking and he blessed me- IMMEDIATELY. About 2:30 Dave was home for lunch and we were talking about the pros and cons of the job. I got a random phone call, we were out of minutes, but I felt like I should answer it. It was the Manager from the first company I interviewed with and she said they did actually did need me. I just started to laugh, and she was really nice and told me they really wanted me and to choose them. I told her I would get back to her about my decision by Today. Well, when I got off the phone. I KNEW that the Lord was blessing me, and it was no coincidence that she called me today. I know that as I try to be faithful in the little things in my life such as prayer and husband/wife scripture study he blesses me. But, he continues to bless me and I am able to see it more easily how he is blessing our life's and directing our paths!

Happy Mothers Day!

I am so thankful to be a mother to these wonderful children! I love them so much, i learn so much all the time from them! I am so thankful that I have such a wonderful example of how to be a great mom!

6 years Baby!

Jonathan and Sarah

I just love when my children are asleep they are so peaceful! Sarah just loves Gordon, I have to pay special attention to Sarah when Gordon is doing tummy time or is on the floor. Sarah has been feeling very independent lately, so if she is quiet for more then five minutes I better go see what she is up to. Sarah loves her dolly right now, she likes to bring her dolly everywhere she goes. Yesterday, I was doing something with Gordon, and I had a feeling that I should go check on her. Sarah was on the changing table about to put one of Gordon's diapers on her dolly and she had already put destin on the dolly! Sarah loves to wear her pjs, and thinks that during quiet time that she needs to put them on for the night! Sarah loves to sing and has been watching signing time a lot lately and loves to sing the songs, but hasn't really picked up the signs yet. i have been trying to help her to help increase her communication.
Jonathan continues to love to learn! He knows about half of the alphabet and sounds. And gets so excited about learning a knew letter. Jonathan has recently learning how to pump himself on the swing- he will repeat in and out! Jonathan loves to play with friends and is glad that it is warming up so he can play with the girl that lives behind us! Jonathan loves to hold Gordon here and there and loves to make him smile! Jonathan loves to play with Daddy when ever he can, and is way excited about Camping this weekend with Daddy!

I love when they ply so nicely together. Jonathan loves his learning game, and loves to have Sarah watch him! Sarah enjoys sitting next to him!

3 months old!

Gordon is three months, well actually tomorrow he will be 3 1/2 months! Gordon is so happy and content! He loves to coo and giggle! He is so patience with Sarah that thinks she is his little Mommy. Gordon continues to sleep great at night and has moved himself up to 7:15 pm to go to bed and then wakes up between 6:30 and 7. Gordon is now on a schedule of two naps- one in the morning and in the afternoon. In the afternoon he can sleep a good three hours. And handles life if he doesn't get one of his naps in. Gordon continues to love his baths with Daddy. Gordon is just starting to garb a little while he is on tummy time. I am so thankful that we have been blessed with this little guy!! I love him so much!

Sarah going to a Birthday Party!

At the end of April both Sarah and Jonathan had a Birthday Party to go to. Jonathan on Friday April 29th and Sarah on Saturday. Jonathan was way excited, and I told him to be on his best behavior and to have fun! I wrapped Sarah's gift she was going to give when I wrapped Jonathan's. Sarah walked around with it for a day, saying Birthday, Birthday. She was very cute. The afternoon finally came, and Jonathan instructed Sarah to be on her best behavior as i did to Jonathan. She was very excited and went to the party without problems!

She had a blast! She came back with bag full of goodies and make up she put on in the van! The next day we looked at Aubrey's moms blog and she updated about the party and all Sarah could say was- "Love It, Again!" She had so much fun and plays with the different things she got all the time!

After Easter

So the Monday after Easter we were able to met of with some long time friends. We went over to Sarah's sisters house for dinner and Family Home Evening. It was great to see them and caught up. We had a great time, and Sarah's family was so nice to share them with us!
Jonathan was talking with Gordon, he wanted a picture of them together!

Sarah being Sarah!

Dave is such a great Dad, right when the he gets home. Jonathan and Sarah can't wait to play with him!! One day he got home and Jonathan wanted to play- and as you can see he still has his jacket on and work clothes. He works so hard for us, we love you!

Gordon at Papa's

This was back at beginning of April I think Gordon was about 9 weeks! I put Gordon on his tummy for tummy time while I practiced the piano and when I looked back at him he was on his back! He was so excited! Look at that face, isn't he adorable! (He hasn't done it since) And thanks Great Grandma for this cute blanket we love it!

Celebrating Easter at Papa's and Grammy's

The week before Easter we talked about what Christ was doing each day prior to being Resurrected! I loved it because it helped me get prepared for the real reason we have Easter; with reading and preparing to teach Jonathan and Sarah. I do think that Jonathan has a better understanding of the resurrection with my mini lessons, Grammy's lesson and his primary lesson at church!

On Saturday, April 23, 2011 we had a little celebration at Grammy's and Papa's. Grammy had a lesson about the Savior and what happened. Then with Daddy's help Sarah and Jonathan made a little tomb with a poster board and bowl and plate. Jonathan really liked it because it helped him visualize what happened to Jesus!

Jonathan helped tell the story with what was inside the egg!

Showing off their posters!

Kaitlyn, Beth, Lacey, and Jonathan!

Then it was time for the Easter Egg Hunt!

Jonathan way excited, he woke up at 6:30 am cause he couldn't wait!

Way excited about how many eggs he got!
He decided that he mostly wanted blue eggs!

Gordon slept the entire time, I finally woke him up!

Grammy and the Grand kids!

Doesn't Grammy look so good, she has been working so hard! I am so proud of you Mom!
