Yesterday, I had a piano recital. I have been plying for about 3 years (with a few breaks). The piano is coming, but I have a long ways to go. But Dave tells me not to be too critical. On Monday I was very anxious about the recital, so I had Dave give me a blessing which helped tremendously. I told myself no matter how it sounded I would post a video so that I could see my progression and Megan you could see it too! I knew that I would make mistakes but I just kept going and tried not to worry about it. I can tell that I have improved over the last 6 months (my last little recital I wouldn't post the song cause I was too embarrassed about how it sounded). I actually enjoyed myself a little and wasn't too stressed. I am glad that I too the leap in trying to learn the piano (I do regret not sticking with it at my young age!!!) There are more pictures to come!

Proud Mother
All you can say is adorable!
SO yesterday for church, I decided that I would put Sarah's hair up in pigtails! She looked so cute!! I was such a proud mother, so we of course took pictures. I was talking to a co-worker and her daughter is over a month older then Sarah and she told me how she puts her daughters hair up. I was inspired and her are the results! Keeping her occupied and not worried about her hair was a chore, but it was worth it!

Fun Walk
Yesterday, we went up to Grammy's work and did a Fun Walk (or as Beth said is should be call make your legs tried walk!) It was actually really cold so I bundled the kids up! It was about 1.5 mile nature walk and through out the walk there were health questions to answer. We end up back at the Hinckely Building, and got a cookie and a banana! It was fun to get out and be outside ever though it was a little cold!
Our sweet Sarah
Sarah is growing up before my eyes! She is learning so many things all the time. I thought we got past Sarah hating to get into her car seat, but we haven't she still hates it. But once we all get in we start to sing, Sarah loves Poky Bear (Jonathan loved that song at her age too). She loves so the actions such as patting herself. It is so cute to watch. She also has picked up patting and then putting her arms up to her head for blast off when Jonathan is doing it. Sarah loves very good at looking at books herself, but not being read to. So she gets read to in the tub because she can't crawl away! So enjoys building blocks, but mostly just chewing on them. I am continuing to work with Sarah on her signing. She is very good at saying please and has signed more once. Most of the time she just points at what she wants, but I try to make her sign what she wants or at least I sign to her. So we don't get frustrated I try to make sure I know what she wants, I will say do you want this then say please and she does it a good amount of the time! Sarah is doing better over all at eating and drinking. She has her days but she is improving! I am down to two feedings and she did so well, this past time (she was only cranky for about two days) I think that I will take another feeding off at night this next week! I did miss seeing them at work!!!! Sarah continues to be very social and loves to wave and smile at whom ever! She is a happy girl! Sarah LOVES to play with Jonathan. I know that she wants to be running around with him outside but she hasn't figured out how to do that yet! Sarah is a little squirmier these days; so changing diapers and doing her hair is a real trick! So LOVES to get her hands on anything that she knows she isn't supposed to have (which of course we are working on- which is a process).
Determined
When Jonathan puts his mind to something he accomplishes it! He was at Papa's and Grammy's and he saw some eggs so he decided that he wanted to eat so he started to chip away at it little by little! Jonathan is becoming more independent each day, which I know makes him happy! He loves to pray; when ever I say a prayer Jonathan buts in Lacey, Luke, Papa, Abby, Ben, Bethy (it really is Effy). I am working with Jonathan on how to open the prayer. I think it is really funny, that every time Jonathan prays the first thing or person is Lacey. He always wants to see her, but when he does he gets really excited and yells her name and might give her a hug and then he is on his way. However, who is his pal is Abby he loves to play with her. Jonathan is starting to try to put on his own clothes, which I of course have to help a lot of it is a start. I am proud of him because he took the initiative on it. Jonathan loves to have a character on his shirt, which I am not a fan of. So most of the time he wears those kind of things to bed. Hence always asking for "show" and pointing to his shirt at bed time! Jonathan loves Little Einstein and loves to do the pat pat pat blast off and so the actions and everything. Its very cute! Jonathan loves to try to help me with whatever I'm doing if it is cooking to cleaning to planting. Jonathan loves to sing the clean up song when it is time to clean up. One of his favorite books at this time is a easy read that doesn't have many pictures it is varies short stories about a little bear. Jonathan just loves it and it has very cute stories. We have just started to go to story time at the library and Jonathan is very good at sitting and listening. Jonathan LOVES school. This past week was spring break so he didn't have class. However, I had to bring in a paper and Jonathan had a fit when he realized that we weren't staying for class. Jonathan loves his sister, and they love to play and laugh together!

Thoughts
Thoughts: I have many thoughts on my mind. I have found old friends on facebook, which puts a smile on my face to become once again reacquainted. As one of my friends has or is going through a hard time with losing a precious daughter. As I have read many care pages and posts on her blog. My heart is filled with compassion for everything that she has gone through. But, the one thing that has hit me the hardest is through this hard trial in her life she has found JOY in the journey. Yes, she is hurting, but she finds joy in the little things that her daughter brought to her! As I think about what is to come for my life, I wonder will I too have a child that has a LOT of special needs? Over a month ago coming home from the gym in the early hours of the morning before the roads where busy I was listening to Dave's Zune and the thought came to me that Heavenly Father is preparing me for something, and that it is possible that I might have a child that has special needs. But that is OKAY, I will love that child because they have so much to give me and teach me. As I pondered upon those thoughts. I thought if this is the case Heavenly Father then I need more time before I bring another on into our sweet family! I need time to get these two little ones not so dependent on me. Now I think back to when I was told we possible would have a child with trisomy 13. I was terrified all I wanted was a MIRACLE, a "normal" child. But, now I my heart has changed. I have matured (just a little). I will take whatever personality of a child that Heavenly Father give me or spirit that is very dependent upon me. I have more faith and trust in Heavenly Father now then I did back then. I would say that I am wiser! So with that said, who knows what will happen or what kind of children we will have have. But, one thing that is for certain is that our arms will be wide open to receive them!

This is the bag that they colored! (Sarah also colored a bag too!)
Hunting for eggs!
Hunting for eggs!
Enjoying some candy!
I love this one of Jonathan!
Showing off his candy!
Jonathan's school or "skool" as Jonathan calls it had a little Easter hunt today. Because of the weather they had it inside and Dave said that it turned pretty well. Jonathan had a blast, and he learned to art of picking up Easter eggs. He really enjoyed the candy! He also loved the Easter bunny. Sarah enjoyed being held by Daddy, but wasn't sure about the Easter bunny- however no crying! (I had to work, but when I asked Jonathan about it I could tell he enjoyed it!)
