Life is Busy and Crazy and I am way behind!

So I am so behind in blogging. I have put it on my to do list but it never seems to be the most important thing to get done. So tonight I am wanting to get caught up so i am just putting pictures on the blog and talking about the pictures so I can try to get caught up! There are some from July and August!

This summer has been so much fun! We have spent ALOT of time at the pool, Sarah and Jonathan could be there everyday! They love it! I feel so blessed that I can bee home now and not miss out, I KNOW that it was a blessing from Heavenly Father! I have been thinking lately how much I love being a mother and LOVE my children and know that this special time I have with them as little children will be gone in a blink of an eye! As Gordon is growing so fast and doesn't want to be a baby long, I cherish these moments and try to hold onto them! SO with that said blogging has been put on the back burner!

Happy Birthday Dave! We celebrated Dave's Birthday early cause of work and when we both had time off. We went to Tucano's for lunch (which we both felt sick afterwards) then we went to Harry Potter that night (and we went on a Tuesday so we got tickets for 10 bucks!!!)

Dave got off at 8 pm on his Birthday, so Sarah and Jonathan stayed up and we sang Happy Birthday and gave cake! Jonathan made Daddy this Lego masterpiece! He decided to do it all on his own! It was so thoughtful, Jonathan loves birthdays and was so excited!

Dave was given a cupcake at work, so he split it with the kids! They LOVED the icing! (that is all they ate of it)

Jonathan and Sarah wanted to have a sleep over! So I finally let them! And this is Sarah all tuckered out!

One night for Family Night we went to a local Museum and the kids loved being able to see a real snake and even touch it!

Sarah LOVES LOVES to swim! She will put on a swimsuit everyday!
She just loves it and I think that it is helping her with her sensory issues! Grammy and papa gave Sarah this cover up and she loves it since it has to do with swimming

I just love these pictures of Jonathan and Sarah as they play in the sprinklers! As you can see in there faces the pure fun that they are having!

This is frequently how we find Jonathan when we tuck him in for the night! We did the summer reading problem at the library and this is one of the books they got. The other one I Love is Llama Red Pajama (I think that I relate to it so well- it is a funny book!)

Sweet Gordon Sleeping, as he has had to adjust to didn't routines and not getting his naps he has been sleeping good!

My dear friend Kirsti came into town and we got together with Mary Joy and my Mom, oh and Gordon for lunch! It was so great to see her and she what she has been up to! She is making a difference in the world for good and I am so impressed with her ambition! I love you Kirsti!

Enjoying Jojo's party! Sleeping baby, once again past his bed time!

Sarah enjoying holding Jamis' as Sarah calls him!

Enjoying cake at Papa's with the Peterson's!

On the 24th of July at Papa's and Grammy's! Gordon just can't get enough REAL food!

Enjoying Papa's fire pit!

Jonathan and Sarah were just THRILLED to get new clothes from Abby and Benny! This is some new PJs! You will find Sarah pulling out clothes that are too hot and she will repeat "Abby gave me, Abby gave me" or "Abby" pointing to the clothes!

I bought a 40 lb box of bananas for 5 bucks! So we froze them, Dave helped me peel and freeze them! We use lots and lots of them for smoothies!

We love our passes and one of the things we can do with them is go to baseball games! Jonathan and Sarah loved the Owl!

We went miniature golfing and the kids love it! Dave held Gordon! What a great Dad! (Another thing we got to do with our passes).

Hercules

Tonight for family prayer Jonathan wanted to say it. Dave asked Jonathan to pray! Jonathan usually has a set prayer, but he has been branching out and thinking more about the things he says.

This is about how his prayer went tonight. Dear Heavenly Father, bless the carrots and the tomatoes to grow, and bless the carrots and the zucchini to grow and bless the watermelon to grow (which we don't have in our garden), bless that I will grow big, bless that Sarah will grow, and bless that I will grow strong like HERCULES, bless that we go to trafalga and climb the wall (bless and thankful at this time are the same in Jonathan's prayer) and then he closed his prayer!

Looking at the Good in Life

A long time ago I started asking the kids what was their favorite part of the day. I have felt that it is an important lesson to teach my child to look at the good things in life; that it is a choice to be happy.

So each night before bed (if Dave is home), at scripture study. If Dave is not home then during dinner; it gives me something to talk to them about during dinner. Tonight Dave is working late, so I started off dinner asking Sarah what her favorite part of today was (I have learned to ask Sarah first cause if not she will repeat what Jonathan says)? She said Papa's (Going over to Papa's). Then right after that, she said Jonathan (taking charge of the questions- which I let her). Jonathan said going to the store. Then Sarah asked me what my favorite part was, which took me off guard because I usually just ask the kids or also Dave but I rarely say my favorite part. I said Daddy cleaning out the oven. Then Sarah asked Gordon, then we all started thing of Gordon's favorite part. I thought it was very cute of Sarah to take the lead in the dinner conversation. She is a little mommy! I love her so much!It made me think that I need to say my favorite part of the day along with the kids!

6 Months old!

It is hard to believe how time just flies when you have a baby! Gordon is 6 MONTHS OLD! We love him so MUCH, it is hard to think back and think about our family without this big guy! He brings so much joy into our lives!!! He is such a HAPPY boy! He is our BIG guy, he is 19 lbs (we go to the doctors on Monday). He started eating solids this past month on July 18th- it was hard for me to start him on solids cause I just want to keep Gordon as my baby boy. He has been ready for awhile, and my doctor always say between 4-6 months to start. I finally made the plunge with Gordon and he LOVED it. More of it went in his mouth and he swallowed it then was on the highchair. But then the following days he he would spit it out or blow bubbles. I quickly learned that he wanted it thick!!! Which is kind of funny to me, Gordon wants to be big like his brother and sisters!!! He is doing really well with Cheerios and today Dave gave him a cracker and most of it got eaten and no cough or anything!
Gordon has some funny things that he does that I love. Gordon is a thumb boy! At first you would find a thumb in Gordon's mouth if he was tried, but now he does it for comfort/tried/bored. Gordon loves to sleep on his tummy. Sometimes when he is on tummy time he will get tried, he will put either thumb in his mouth and then start thumping his right leg down. I love it. And sometimes when he is really tried there is a moan that goes with it! Gordon gives the best smiles and loves to smile at random people. Gordon also loves his feet. I will find him in his car seat just sucking on his toes (he is almost grown out of his car seat and will be moving to a new one sooner then later- CRAZY)!

Gordon is a mover today when I put him on the blanket and was in the kitchen doing something. I came back and he was in the dining area with his body stuck under the chair. He is backwards mover! He is strengthening his tummy muscle to sit and doing better all the time!
Gordon loves bed time and can't wait to sleep peacefully! He usually wakes up around 6:30-7:30; and is ready to eat!!!

Happy 4th of July!

We started the 4th off really early, with a 5k run! We were running it as a family. Dave pushed Jonathan and Sarah and I pushed Gordon (there was trade off Dave got the better strolled but more weight and I got less weight but worse stroller).

This was Dave's first official 5k race! We have been training since May together and Dave started off having a really hard time, asthma acting up. But by the end he was ready. I got a little emotional cause I had always dreamed about running with my husband (but it was never a requirement for marriage), and the day has finally come.

There was so many people crazy! We tried to stay in the back with the strollers, trying not to run into people but we should have waited longer! It had been so long since I raced and it felt so GOOD! I loved it and especially with all my family!

We did it and finished together!

Then after the race, we went to the parade!
The kids just love the parade! We had breakfast while we watched the parade withe chocolate milk- one of the kids and Daddy's favorite traditions!

Enjoying the parade next to Papa!
Sarah enjoyed wearing my medal from the race (they gave them to everyone!)

Enjoying the parade with their cousins!

One tried Baby Boy!

Our Cute little Family!

Then after the parade we went home and rested or a bit and then Then we went swimming. It felt so good to cool off and spend time with family! Jonathan didn't feel while so he slept on the grass, poor guy!

Then we had a BBQ and party for Grandma's 75th! We love you Grandma! It was so fun spending time cousins and relaxing!

Nicki and Dustin came back for the party! We love seeing them again! And the kids were SO SO Happy, and Dustin is such a good sport to always play with Sarah! We love you guys!

After the party Daddy put on a fireworks show!! Sarah could not wait she has been asking about it for DAYS! IT was such a great 4th of July and I am thankful for all the freedoms that I have!!

The start of our Fourth of July Weekend!

Our family just LOVES the 4th of July!!! One of our traditions is going to see the Hot Air Balloons. But this year we were running the 5k on the 4th. So we went to the Balloons on the Saturday before! Jonathan and Sarah love it, and Sarah LOVES the Piggy! A great start to the 4th!

Mommy and Gordon!

The best Family picture we could get!

Happy Boy!

When we got home, I was going to take a picture of Gordon- but all the kids wanted to be in it! I just love this picture of all my WONDERFUL children!

Nicki and Dustin Visit!!! Wooohoo

On June 29th, Nicki and Dustin came into town! The kids and I went and picked them up from Aunt Phyllis's. (Dave was in bed on his death bed :( So it was just us!) We were so excited to see them! Especially the kids, I love that Sarah calls Nicki, Mickey! Nicki and Dustin were so fun, and hung out with us and talked and played with the kids. Sarah and Jonathan just couldn't get enough of Dustin! That night we had a little BBQ at my parents! We roasted Hot dogs and talked!

A tried Boy!

The kids loved it!
