Sisters Weekend!

Pedicures!
Doesn't she look so cute in her swim suit!
Sisters!
Sarah and Me!
The group (I of course was taking the picture)

On Wednesday getting Pedicures, some getting extra things done! It was wonderful! We loved it so much that next year we are going to get the package that had a facial, pedicure, manicure and lunch!! On Thursday we headed to Bear Lake. We had lots of fun playing games, talking, eating and relaxing! It is nice to get away and get rejuvenated and a little kick in the right direction to be a better mother. We always have a book or topic that we discuss! Loretta and the girls came, which was fun to bond and hear there in sites and stories. My Sarah came cause she was still nursing. But she did wonderful. She did better then when we came up a few weeks again. She did great in the pool and she even did good in the Lake (we inched little by little!) We missed those that couldn't came this year, hopefully next year everyone will be able to come!

Havin' Fun!

Today I had a staff meeting. So Dave watched the kids, Dave does such a good job at capturing life as we see it. This is just funny, Sarah has a tight hold of Jonathan. And just so you know Sarah tries to get everything in her mouth that she can. Watch closely to what Sarah is doing at the end. It is hilarious! I think that it was about dinner time! I love my kids!

Sarah's first feeding

So Sarah was such about the rice cereal! She is very eager to grab the bowl, but not so sure about it in her mouth! But I am sure she will do better next time!

Cute Kids!

Our cute girl!
Sarah had her first bitter biscuit this week and just couldn't get enough! It was so fun to watch her. She is ready for cereal, so I will be starting that this week. So watch for pictures!
Jonathan found Dave's hat and he is lovin' it, if you can't see that smile coming out! (This is Dave's dressing job not me)

Bear Lake

Lovin' the pool
We ate in town on the 4th and there was a little show that we stopped at and we splurged and bought this chocolate rice kispy. Jonathan was in Heaven (I wanted to take a picture of him, and when I told him to stand so I could take a picture he sat and ate. I'm not sure if he understands what I am saying. But he is cute here anyway!)
Our cute Sarah bear! She is over 5 Months, I can't believe it!
We rode our bikes into town and found this beautiful rose bush! This was 4th of July!

We had so much fun on our vacation this year! We enjoyed just relaxing and not having to worry about anything! Jonathan's favorite part of the trip was the pool! He just loved it. He kept flipping to his back and splashing! It was so much fun to watch! Sarah's favorite thing was playing with her feet! No Sarah found her feet recently and just love it. Dave and I loved relaxing- swimming, reading, biking, and being as a family!

Random!

So I have been informed that I need to update my blog! Jonathan found his church shoes and wanted me to put them on, so I did! Doesn't he look so cute. I told him to stand so I could take a picture, but he sat down!
Jonanthan wanted to be with Dave when he was mowing. So Dave carried him! Dave is such a great Dad!
So I am very pleased with our garden. This is the best one we have had yet! However after taking this picture and going over to my friends house and seeing her garden. This garden is nothing! But, I am proud of it. In the back there is lettuce and beat and carrots, all from seed!
Sarah loves to sleep on her tummy, however now she rolls onto her back and has a hard time sleeping during her naps. But, I found Sarah this way this past week- she turned 90 degrees and face planted into the blanket- but she was sound asleep!
I was trying on Sarah's cute bathing suit to see how it fit! Doesn't she look cute! She is rolling and starting to play with her feet it is way cute and just talk and blow bubbles. Today Sarah was laying on her back and Jonathan came up to her and started trying to tickle her and talk to her she just laughs! They are great friends!

This past Friday we went to the PEEP BBQ it was a blast. Jonathan loved the Bounce house. Even though he really couldn't stand in it and jump, he loved crawling in it. He would go in and out of it. It was so fun to watch! Dave went on a camp out, so he couldn't come. But we are thankful Grammy came to enjoy the BBQ and help with Sarah! Thanks Mom. They had a fire truck come and spray water. We had no idea what it was going to be like. Jonathan got soaked, but he enjoyed running around! Some of his cousins came to the BBQ and they loved the cotton candy and snow cones! Posted by Picasa

Enjoying Life!

This is just cute Sarah! She is just a joy to have in our family! She is rolling now- onto her back. She is grabbing tons and I think is starting to want to eat food! She always is trying to get what I am eating! She continues to be Mama's girl! She loves to fail her arms when she sees me after I get home from work!
This is Jonathan in action! He is all over the place. He loves, I mean loves to be outside. The other day I was watering the garden and Jonathan wanted to hose. So after I was done he started to play with the water! It was so fun to watch!

I took this about two weeks ago, but I love it! Cause even though Sarah isn't bigger then Jonathan yet. It looks like it in this picture! Dave is finally done with school for the summer and we are very excited! A side note, Dave got straight A this summer I am so proud of him! He is becoming a better student each semester. He is determined to beat my GPA when I graduated (which is good to keep him motivated- if he decides to go to grad school). He is starting to work more. He also is enjoying not worrying about school for the moment. He is loving taking care of the kids, reading, and doing projects that I put on his to do list (or that he puts on for himself). He is looking forward to going camping with the scouts this weekend! I am just doing the same old! I seem to always keep myself busy with my to do lists! With working out, piano, books, taking care of kids, and doing everything else that keeps a house together.

I wanted to tell a story that happened about a week or two ago (some may have heard it). So I was fixing dinner and Jonathan was entertaining Sarah. They both were on there tummies. Jonathan was talking to Sarah. The next I turn around it is quiet, except for this little noise coming out of Jonathan- ah ah. He was straddling Sarah and acting like she is a horse, and bounce up and down! No Sarah was fine. Just looking around at Jonathan- trying to figure out what he was doing! No cries! I went over and took Jonathan to time out. Just kind of laughing to myself- Jonathan Jonathan. That was just one of those times I thought to myself- good thing that Sarah is big and not as small as Jonathan was!Posted by Picasa

Just clip of Jonathan and Sarah enjoying each other!
This is a typical Jonathan- so I thought that I would share- Sorry it is a little shaky!

Chicken Piccata

Chicken Piccata

2 large lemons
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 1/2 pounds), sliced crosswise into cutlets
Table salt and ground black pepper
1/2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons vegetable oil1 small shallot , minced (about 2 tablespoons) or 1 small garlic clove, minced (about 1 teaspoon)
1 cup chicken stock or canned low-sodium chicken broth
2 tablespoons small capers, drained
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley leaves

1. Adjust oven rack to lower-middle position, set large heatproof plate on rack, and heat oven to 200 degrees.
2. Halve one lemon pole to pole. Trim ends from one half and cut crosswise into slices 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick; set aside. Juice remaining half and whole lemon to obtain 1/4 cup juice; reserve.
3. Sprinkle both sides of cutlets generously with salt and pepper. Measure flour into pie tin or shallow baking dish. Working one cutlet at a time, coat with flour, and shake to remove excess.
4. Heat heavy-bottomed 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until hot, about 2 minutes; add 2 tablespoons oil and swirl pan to coat. Lay half of chicken pieces in skillet. Sauté cutlets, without moving them, until lightly browned on first side, 2 to 2 1/2 minutes. Turn cutlets and cook until second side is lightly browned, 2 to 2 1/2 minutes longer. Remove pan from heat and transfer cutlets to plate in oven. Add remaining 2 tablespoons oil to now-empty skillet and heat until shimmering. Add remaining chicken pieces and repeat.
5. Add shallot or garlic to now-empty skillet and return skillet to medium heat. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds for shallot or 10 seconds for garlic. Add stock and lemon slices, increase heat to high, and scrape skillet bottom with wooden spoon or spatula to loosen browned bits. Simmer until liquid reduces to about 1/3 cup, about 4 minutes. Add lemon juice and capers and simmer until sauce reduces again to 1/3 cup, about 1 minute. Remove pan from heat and swirl in butter until butter melts and thickens sauce; swirl in parsley. Spoon sauce over chicken and serve immediately.

I made this tonight for dinner-I thought it was great! I like to try new things but most of the time I don't really like what I make. But I thought that this was great with the lemon and capers- tender chicken. It was way easy! It only took a half an hour!

Yes Jonathan is drinking the water off the ground!
Sarah being cute!
I love my kids- and I don't think that I can tell them that enough! I need to video tape Jonathan giving kisses- cause I guess I do a sound when we kiss and he has picked it up! I love it!

Life!

So today we had the opportunity to go to the Little Gym with PEEP, and let me tell you Jonathan had a blast! He was walking all over and playing, and squealing. I took lots of pictures but most of them were blurry cause he was just all over the place! I am so glad that we have PEEP because we get to do things and learn new things that we maybe wouldn't! Its great!
This is sweet Sarah in her bouncy chair, just being happy!

This past week, we were playing and this is totally Jonathan. It makes me laugh!

Life

Life is so fragile! I was reading Jessica's blog and just got all choked up inside. And just wanted to write a blog about my wonderful little family! I love my two little darling children. Jonathan is such a fun loving little boy and is so much a "little boy" he loves to be outside and play on the swing or in the dirt. This past week it was raining and he wanted to go outside all day, and later that day Grammy and Papa were babysitting Jonathan- and they let him go outside and he was in heaven playing water and getting dirty! He makes me laugh and chuckle cause he just does cute things. Like tonight- he has this bear that is huge and we have been airing it out cause he threw up on it awhile ago. So for both Jonathan's nap and putting him to bed for the night- I tried to lay him next to his bear. But each time he would move to lay on top of the bear and them put his head on the pillow! He is so cute! And he is rally starting to walk on mothers day he started at Grammy's and Papa's and he just does better and better all the time. He loves to walk to me and fall into me and give me big grin! Sarah is such a doll! She is so content and happy. She loves to be tickled and it just makes me smile. She loves to talk to me and blow bubbles. She is a Momma girl for sure! I don't regret it one minute having these precious children so close together they are my little blessings! I love my husband Dave- he is doing so much for us right now, with school, work, being a Dad and father, and with church. He always tries to think about me and do the little things that make me happy! We were talking today about how we have learned so much and grown so much together! I love you guys!

Vent..

So i must vent right now. So over a week ago I was cleaning out one of my pantries, and I store my scooba in there. And I decided to just step around it, and then when i decided to move it was too late. i stepped on the charger peace that goes into the scooba. Now I can't use the scooba until I purchase the charger. It is expensive in my mind to replace, and we are watching were all are money goes. So it has been a week since I scoobaed and my floor is gross- i don't know how I lived with out it this long! I scooba every other day pretty consistently, and it takes me maybe 5 minutes or 10 minutes max to put the solution on and take all the chairs off the floor along with the rugs. And another 10 minutes to clean and put everything back on. Well, me doing it without the scooba I had to take everything off, then sweep, and mop and still have to put everything else back on after it is done drying. On the scooba there is a drying mechanism that it dry at the end, so I only have to keep off of it for a few minutes before I can put everything back on. Well, anyway it took me about 45-60 minutes for this whole process. My time is very value able, and I would rather be cleaning something else or doing a project of mine then mopping when the scooba could be doing it! Needless to say, I am buying the charger right now! Once again I don't know how I lived without my scooba!

Side note- Can I say that I love the google reader and how it tell me who posted on my dashboard (minus those that are private)! It saves me so much time!

Random

This was my first card from Jonathan for Mothers Day! I loved it, it melted my heart!
Jonathan lately wants to hold Sarah for a short time! I love my kids!
Yes, he fell asleep on the swing. He woke up early this day, and he just loves being outside. And he wanted me to push him, so I did and soon he fell asleep on the swing- I couldn't believe it! It made me laugh!
Sarah's first bike ride. They both did great. Sarah fell asleep and Jonathan didn't touch her he just looked out the trailer!
Jonathan just chillin' outside!
Jonathan is learning to be such a good big brother! As you can see from the pictures above, Jonathan is reading to Sarah. Jonathan is being with Sarah on tummy time- which is rare cause he seems to like to lay on her (I think that Sarah had to be big for the sake of survival!) Yesterday Jonathan said Sarah once instead of Rara- Dave and I just looked at each other and smiled and praised Jonathan. Jonathan asks for Sarah all the time. They already have such a bond, this past week Jonathan and Sarah were talking to each other in their own way it was so cute! Jonathan is learning to try to say words a little better, and signing. This is helping so much. Although yesterday morning Jonathan kept doing the sign for eat and milk over and over again and pointing to the pantry. I didn't know what he wanted. He soon began to have a fit cause I didn't know what he wanted and he couldn't communicate it with me. Later that day, the same thing- but just the sign to eat. Then I realized what he wanted. He wanted fruit by the foot (I don't usually buy it but it was way on sale), and he just loves it. This morning while I was putting away breakfast Jonathan as walking along the counter, and then peeked over at me I waved at him and then he waved back. I asked for a kiss and then he leaned over and gave me one (with his mouth opened). Its those moments that I just cherish! I love my little boy, he is growing so much! I went back to work this past week, the anticipation of it was the worst. I am getting through it. I know that it is good for Dave to spend more quality time with the kids. Jonathan I know loves it, he loves to play with his Dad. However, Sarah isn't liking it. She is very much Mommas girl! She is having a hard time with the bottle. She will only take it when she is way hungry. So she seems to miss out on at least two feeding, but she seems to do fine and not wake up in the night! But Dave says that it is a process to feed her. I hope that she gets better for those that have to feed her!

Weight

So this morning at the gym, I weighed myself. I have lost 3 pounds since the last time that I weighed myself. I don't weigh myself consistently. Cause it seems that I lose a pound week. And it is a lot more exciting to see that you lost 3 ponds instead of 1 or 2. So I have been working out and watching what I eat, and I have lost 8 pounds in the last 6 weeks. That doesn't sound like a lot, but I am happy. I would like to lose another 10 pounds! (I am very excited about it, hence the post).

Side note- those that watch survivor. What Did you think? Dave and I both can't believe it. We just laugh when we think about it. So I am rooting for Amanda! Go Amanda!

Our Anniversary!

Well, today is our 3rd Anniversary. However we celebrated on Saturday! It was so much fun. Dave gave me the menu to figure out what I was going to get, so I won't worry about the money. Well, he gave it to me a few days in advance. I like surprises, but I also like to figure them out. So, I figured out where we were going before hand. But I was excited. It was so fun getting ready and anticipating this wonderful dinner. I went to the Le Kristi Salon and it was great- she did my hair and got me dress. It was so much fun! Thanks Kristi for making look hot! So we went to Chefs Table and had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed each other company. The food was great! It was so much fun! We sure enjoyed a night out!I love you Dave thanks for being such a wonderful husband and Dad!Posted by Picasa

New Haircut!

Well, I have not liked my haircut in over a year. I found this guy in my stake that cuts hair for a good price and highlights so I thought that I would try him out! I think that he did a great job, and so did Dave. He thinks that I look sexy! Well, I m still learning how to do it, but I know it will come. De reminds me that it took me forever to do my make-up when I was first learning and now it doesn't take that long at all!Posted by Picasa
