Getting ready for Santa

After family home evening we got ready for Santa! We got in our red pjs, took some pictures, I read Jonathan another Christmas story, talked to Jonathan about what he could give Jesus this year, and then I helped Jonathan write a letter to Santa, and put out cookies for Santa!

Christmas Eve Family Home Evening

After dinner we had our family home evening. We started out with the nativity! Dad was the narrator (as usual).
Joesph was our baby Jesus

Lydia was Mary, she was so excited!
Jonathan was Joesph
Aren't they cute!

Lacey was the angel, Luke was the shepherd, Kaitlyn was a wiseman!
Sarah was a wiseman also, but she had a hard time keeping her costume on!

Then we sang a few carols around the piano. It was really nice! I played a few songs, but I am not able to play and have people sing with me- but maybe next year!
Jonathan enjoyed with little costume.

Lydia enjoyed singing, esp All I want is a Hippopotamus

Then Grammy read a Christmas book to the kids!

Dave was putting away the violin but Sarah was very interested in it!
Daddy letting her touch it!

Few pictures I wanted to add!

Christmas Eve Before

Grandma and Grandpa came late on the 23rd, so on Christmas Eve when they came out of the spare bedroom Sarah and Jonathan were shocked! They were so excited! Sarah just loves cuddling up to Grandpa!

Grandma hanging their stocking!
Getting ready for our traditional Mexican dinner!
Enjoying having Grandpa around!

Giving loves!
Sarah and Jonathan loved having Kaitlyn around while we were getting dinner ready! They were playing with the nativity!

Also playing the piano!
Before dinner we took some family pictures! (thanks for the good idea Liz)

Climbing

This past Tuesday my parents watched Jonathan and Sarah since Dave and I had to work! Papa was changing out the smoke alarms and so he had to get the the ladder out! Jonathan has always been a climber and so he had fun climbing up the ladder! Sarah wanted to get in on the fun too, but she just stayed on the first step! I just thought they were cute!

Music Box

So this morning I had a little more one on one time with Sarah since Jonathan slept in (usually never happens). So I was making breakfast and Sarah was on the counter drinking some cocoa. Then I guess this Santa music box caught her eye. She pointed and said "ana" meaning Santa. So I go it down and played the music. She loved it and started signing more. Then while we ate breakfast I put it on the table. She loved it and waved at it and kept saying hi. It was so cute, so I had to take a few pictures. This is Jonathan being really talented and playing the drums and then tambourine at the same time. It sounded great!
