Day3/4 Visiting Candace in Manassas VA (June 7-8)

After Church we headed up to Candace's house and Nicki, Dustin, and Connor came down and we visited while the kids played.   It was fun to just talk and be together.  The kids had a blast and loved playing with there cousins!

Ammon taped Sarah in the box

The boys fell in love with this Kinetic sand!

Aliza and Henry hit it off and were instant buddies.

Ammon and Gordon eating breakfast on Monday morning!

Emma and Jonathan were buddies!

On Monday after breakfast and playing we headed to Henry Hill, the first battle of the Civil War.  Jonathan was super excited about getting his Junior ranger here, and they even gave them real badges.  Well Dave and I went on a tour with one of the rangers; Candace took the kids on a hike.  Henry did great but at the end of the hike he fell and was pretty sad about his scrape.  Then we headed over to the stone house that was a hospital that was really close to Henry Hill.  But Henry fell asleep.  Then we went over to the stone bridge that the kids enjoyed exploring.

We didn't realize that there was a Café Rio in her town so we of course had to stop there for lunch.  It was as good as we remembered and we even got a buy one get one free.  After lunch we went to the community pool for a bit...the kids enjoyed getting cooled off and then there was thunder and we had to go.  So we changed and packed up and went to some awesome ice cream at this place called Moo Thru that is on a actual dairy farm...we got pints of ice cream and all shared.  SO much fun.  We said our goodbyes and headed to Loretta and Dave's for the next couple of days so we could be super close to Washington DC.
