Since we were going to take Grandma back to her house we decided to make the most of it and went and saw Aunt Debbie. She is always so pleasant to talk with and enjoys our visits!
Then after dropping Grandma off at where she is staying, we went up to the the lights. One of my favorite traditions! But the part that the kids love the best is riding trax, or the train as they call it!
My cutie pie!
Watching the Nativity story!
Sarah was having fun when I was taking her picture and she was closing her eyes and she thought that she was being so funny! It sure made for a few cute pictures!

"The biggest mistake I made as a parent is the one that most of us make. . .I did not live in the moment. I wish I had not been in such a hurry to get to the next thing. I wish I had treasured the doing a little more and the getting it done a little less.”
Anna Quindlen
"Being There [is] an emotional and spiritual shift, of succumbing to Being Where You Are When You Are, and Being There as much as possible. Its about crouching on the floor and getting delirious over the praying mantis your son just caught instead of perusing a fax or filling the dishwasher while he is yelling for your attention and you distractedly say over your shoulder: 'Oh, honey, isn’t that a pretty bug.' It’s about being attuned enough to notice when your kid’s eyes shine so you can make your eyes shine back.” Iris Krasnow

Just when all seems to be going right, challenges often come in multiple doses simultaneously. When those trials are not consequences of your disobedience, they are evidence that the Lord feels you are prepared to grow more (see proverbs 3:11-12). He therefore gives you experiences that stimulate growth, understanding, and compassion which polish you for your everlasting benefit. To get you from where you are to where He wants you to be requires a lot of stretching, and that generally entails discomfort and pain . . . Your Father in Heaven and His Beloved Son love you perfectly. They would not require you to experience a moment more of difficulty than is absolutely needed for your personal benefit or for that of those you love.

Just Be
Be kind. Everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle!

True success in this life comes in consecrating our lives— that is, our time and choices—to God’s purposes (see John 17:1, 4; D&C 19:19). In so doing, we permit Him to raise us to our highest destiny. Elder D. Todd Christofferson
We BECOME what we want to BE by consistently BEING what we want to BECOME each day. Righteous character is a precious manifestation of what you are becoming. Righteous character is more valuable than any material object you own, any knowledge you have gained through study or any goals you have attained no matter how well lauded by mankind. In the next life your righteous character will be evaluated to assess how wll you used the privilege of mortality.
