Our Gingerbread House!

One our family favorite tradition is making a gingerbread house! The kids were so excited to make it!

This year it was a little different with the kids being bigger, we just helped put on the icing and they decorated it! It was a lot of fun! I love working together as a family!

Trying to fix the candy, so it won't fall off!

The finished product!

Caroling for Family Home Evening

One of my favorite things to do during the Christmas time is Caroling! Dave playing the violin and then the kids and I singing! I love how it brings the spirit in our home!

Tree Trimming Party

Playing with the baby friendly nativity!

On the 10th of December we had a tree trimming party at Papa's! The kids helped decorate the tree, Grammy read them a Christmas story, ate lunch, colored the nativity story, and made cute ornaments!

Lights

Since we were going to take Grandma back to her house we decided to make the most of it and went and saw Aunt Debbie. She is always so pleasant to talk with and enjoys our visits!

Then after dropping Grandma off at where she is staying, we went up to the the lights. One of my favorite traditions!
But the part that the kids love the best is riding trax, or the train as they call it!

My cutie pie!

Watching the Nativity story!

Sarah was having fun when I was taking her picture and she was closing her eyes and she thought that she was being so funny! It sure made for a few cute pictures!

Going to the Lights

Last week we went up north to see the lights, this is one of my favorite traditions as a family! We first went to Mimi's and enjoyed a great dinner. The kids did great. This is how Jonathan and Sarah entertained themselves while we waited!

Then we went to see Dave's Aunt Debi. It is always a pleasure to see her cause she loves visitors!
Isn't this a cute picture!!!
Then we head more north to the lights, and we surprised the kids by taking the trax! They LOVED IT! It was their favorite part of the night!!
Waiting for the train!

Sarah was so cute, she had he hands in her pocket and was just skipping along. I love when she is happy and content!

The kids started to play in the snow and thought it was great since we didn't have any!

Our family picture, not sure what Sarah was unhappy about!
Playing in the snow! Jonathan and Sarah were very sad to get off the train. They LOVED it once again.

Making Our Gingerbread House

On Monday we got together with Kristi's family and decorated out gingerbread house. We got it a few weeks ago, and Jonathan has been dying to open it up and decorate it! He was SO excited when Monday night finally came!
Jonathan helped decorate it the entire time, he loved it! He also like sneaking a few piece of candy too!

Sarah enjoyed playing and being with her cousins!
Our finished house! I think it turned out very well!

Christmas Carolling

This past Sunday after coming back from Grammy and Papa's house we decided to Carol as a family. It was a lot of fun. Dave hasn't play his violin in about a year, so it was so nice to have him play. I love music in out home. Sarah and I sang- Sarah pretended the scriptures where her songbook! Jonathan played the harmonica, and Dave played the violin!

At the end Dave showed the kids how to hold the bow! Jonathan did actually really very well. I asked the kids what they wanted to play when they got a little older and Jonathan said a violin and Sarah said the piano!

I tried to post a video, but it was too large- so I posted it on facebook. It made the night fun!
