Easter egg hunt and dying eggs!

The Saturday before Easter the kids got a basket full of books and candy.  A lot of the books are for Jonathan and preparing for baptism, which they have all really enjoy (especially Jonathan).  Then in the afternoon we had an Easter egg hunt; Henry had just woken up from a nap and was not in the mood to not be held!  We decided to do the Easter egg hunt with our neighbors which turned out to be a lot of fun.  We hid eggs in both of our front yards, and the kids each got 10 eggs and Henry got a few yellow ones!

Getting eggs!

Dads helping Henry and he is starting to get into it!

Enjoying the candy!

That night we dyed eggs!  The kids really enjoyed it.  I have only done a dozen in the past cause that seemed to give them enough of what they wanted; well this year they wanted more.  Jonathan asked that if next year I could boil more eggs!  They are getting older and can handle a lot more!

This is one of my favorites they are really cute at posing for the camera!

Sarah in Curlers

Sarah one day decided that she wanted to have her hair curled, and I had made dinner early so she Showered and then I curled her hair.  She kept saying how she was like Great Grandma and so pleased!  It made her night...isn't she sleep so peacefully!

My cutie, all ready for school!

Spring Soccer, first game!

Jonathan was SOOOO Excited to start playing soccer.  He just couldn't wait to practice and have his first game!  Sarah and Gordon were very excited to cheer Jonathan on.  There team name is the Tornados.  When they play a game they split half the team up on each side so there is only around 5 boys on the field to help them understand the game better!  Jonathan really enjoys soccer and can't wait for next year to be able to be a goalie.  That is where his heart is!

It was so cold at the game, although it seemed that it would be warmer!

Jonathan's favorite part about the entire game!

Beginning of April

The day after we got home from Texas we receive this beautiful flower arrangement from a students family that Dave is teaching.  Seminary has defiantly been a learning and growing experience for both Dave and I!
Henry started to stand the first week in April; it has been so fun to watch him progress with standing and then walking!

We loved Conference and the Spiritual uplift that we felt and to be better disciplines of Christ!  The kids did so well trying to watch; the first session was the best!

We went to the library that morning before conference, and during the break of conference Jonathan read the entire time!  He is into comic books!

Our Traditional tent for Conference.

Spring is starting to come and so spring cleaning has begun!

A while back I felt inspired to start reading Little House on the Prairie Series to Sarah.  We have just loved it.  (I read it before when Sarah was littler but now she can understand it better)  She also watches the series on the TV so she can understand more fully.  Sarah just loves to pretend to be Ma or Laura and play with Baby Carrie or Charles.  This is a Fire that Gordon and Sarah made to keep baby Carrie warm.

These two can play great one minute and then be at each others throat the next.

To prepare for Easter this year I made this fun activity with symbols, scriptures, and Easter egg.  It was great to read about Christ's crucifixion and then triumphing over death and rising from the dead!

I just love this, this is one of my favorite quotes from Conference that just hit home for me.  Life can be overwhelming, so many things to do but these are the most important and essential things we need to be doing!

This little guy got shots the day before and just wasn't feeling well.  I was trying to finish a chore and then I was going to get Henry and put him to bed....I guess I took too long!

Spring Break

Around the end of February I was just dying, I needed to get out of our town!  So I started to look at places we could go...after a lot of debate we decided to go to Texas to see my brother.  We haven't seen them in about 2 years.  Everyone was so excited, Sarah packed her bags by herself over and over again!  We left early in the morning cause it was going to take us 15 hours!  We are about to get on the road.

Ready to go!

In the mid morning the kids where getting onto each others nerves she we gave them an incentive; they earned an ice cream at McDonald's!  Gordon enjoying his water.  We were so excited to see so much green on the way down- we still had tons of snow when we left!

On Saturday we enjoyed our day with Jeff, Marcie and the boys!  In the morning I went and worked out with Jeff!  Then we went to Blake's soccer game.  We enjoyed our time in the sun!  This made Jonathan excited to start soccer when we got back!  I really enjoyed watching soccer again, which brought back many memories!

Blake even scored a goal!

After lunch Jeff got in the hot tub with the kids! They were in Heaven!

On Monday we went to a train museum and Gordon was so excited to see a train!

It was a museum about electric trains, it was pretty cool!

We even were able to go the train; Sarah was very unsure cause she didn't want it to start!

Looking at the mail area of the train.

Ready to go

Henry liked the electric line and wanted to touch it!

The best family picture we could get!

Of course we had to go to Inn and Out!

We went to the Fort Worth Stockyard!  It was awesome!  It felt like you were really in Texas!

Real Cowboy or herder!

Needing a break!

We were able to met up with a buddy of Dave's in high school.  It was fun to see what Amelia and her family is up to!  The kids loved playing with her girls. We played till it was dark!  What a wonderful thing to pick up were we last left them; getting married. :)  It was such a great time, enjoying family, warmth and relaxing from life!
