Jonathan update

Jonathan is growing up so much! There are a few big things in Jonathan's life are big for him.  This past Friday Jonathan learned how to ride his bike without the training wheels.  This was a big thing, the previous Saturday Dave was around and we knew that he was ready and we talked him up to it.  And he was excited, he started riding right off but didn't have the confidence.  He wanted the training wheels back on, but we told him that wasn't an option, there was a big melt down.  We both worked with him and ran around the cul de sac with him and then the following Thursday it clicked and he was so PROUD!  And so were we, we have been going on lots of bike rides since then and we even went on the river trail for about a good 2 mile ride and he did great!!  And he just loves it!
A while back We were at the mall, which is rare for us and we were at a store right next to build a bear, so we walked into the bear store.  And after that Jonathan was hooked and he wanted one.  They are very expensive for our budget, but we talked to him about saving, working, and using money he already had.  Jonathan wanted it!  So he worked hard, and he even found a coupon to use, 10 dollars off.  I was very impressed.  He was super excited and got a black bear with spiderman and a roar sound.  Jonathan loves superheros, Lego's, and starwars!  So it was right up his alley!
Jonathan started school a few weeks, and after the first day Jonathan wanted to know when he was going to learn how to read!  I talked to him that there are steps that he had to conquer first.  He loves to read and really wants to learn so bad.  Jonathan works very hard in school, and loves to learn.  So it makes it easier to teach him!
Being a good little helper in the kitchen!

 Ready to rock climb
Jonathan is growing, and prayers to be strong and healthy every prayer!  Jonathan is a big helper around the house with responsibilities, or helping when I need it.  Jonathan enjoys helping me cook, and I enjoy it too!  Jonathan loves to be read too, we are reading Farmer boy right now and he really enjoys it!  Jonathan continues to love Daddy's days off.  We went up to Bear Lake for a family vacation and swam a lot, Jonathan really picked up on swimming while we were there!

Sarah's Update

Jonathan and Sarah having fun fitting inside a duffle bag
Sarah just loves her little brother!

Sarah loves to ride her bike!
Sarah just loves the water, enjoying going deeper with Daddy so she can dunk her head in the water!

First time attempting to do rock climbing, but this is how far she got!

Sarah, oh what to say,  well she loves to just be a little Mommy.  She loves to help with Gordon (sometimes too much), and help with what she can.  She loves her baby dolls and playing with them, and dressing them up in her clothes since she really has none of her own.  Sarah loves to try to keep up with Jonathan, and LOVES to go swimming and ride her bike.  Sarah was tested this summer and she has expressive and receptive speech delay which helps a little, we are still trying to find a good therapist around her.  She still struggles with going to sleep, but we deal with it.  We started homeschooling Sarah and Jonathan this week, and I am just doing my best with Sarah.  Hopefully with the extra help and the district preschool we can get her caught up! (That is the hope and prayer).  Sarah loves to sing and color.  We continue to work on Sarah behavior issues, which is very exhausting at times.  But we try to remember the big picture.  Sarah is so caring.  Great Grandpa was in the hospital recently and Sarah was so worried about him and prayed for him every time she prayed, she is so sweet. Sarah bore her testimony a few weeks ago, and she was so proud of herself.  I know that she didn't say much, but I felt that she has been asking and asking and if it is in her heart then its okay!  Sarah has made a big improvement in Mommies eyes.  She cleaned her room all by herself, without a parent in with her in a timely manner.  I was so shocked and so happy!  Sarah is starting to really like books and she will look at them with Jonathan at times, and will sit during story time at night and in the day when we do it!  Her favorite book is Corduroys Pocket! Sarah is progressing in her own way, if I just pay attention!  We love our Sarah!

Gordon

I am of course in desperate need to update about everyone and also what we are doing!  Here is an up date about Gordon! Gordon is 18 months old and will be 19 months at the end of the month.  Yep, that is right he is in nursery and doing great!  The first day he stood there and we showed him the toys and walked out- no tears or anything!  It was a great Birthday present to Daddy.  Gordon is so friendly and loves to say hi to EVERYONE!  He talks and jabbers so much, and can't even count all the words that he knows!  He signs a little but talks more.  He loves to cuddle when he wakes up from naps or in the morning.  He defiantly is an early riser, and doesn't like to miss anything!  He still LOVES his thumb!  Gordon loves to eat, but only what he likes.  He isn't a fan of pasta or zucchini.  But he sure has a sweet tooth, he loves juice and not a fan of milk!  Gordon loves to give hugs and little pats with his hugs.  His smiles and love is so contagious, and is such a happy boy!  Although he is learning to share toys or other things with his brother and sister.  Gordon does not like to be left and really would like to be big.  It really is a good thing that he will have another playmate closer to his age!  Gordon is enjoys looking at books like his brother.  He does great at folding his arms during prayer.  He gets so happy when Daddy get home, it sure makes Daddy happy! Gordon loves to say cheese to the camera, which is a lot of fun!  Gordon is bugged by anything that touches his feet, he will stop where ever he is at and sit down and take it off.
